I actually showed an 8-year old pictures of Hetalia.
That is different then showing em' THE SHOW.
It could be worse. My brother shows her Episode 35.

A weeaboo? I don't care if you were a weeaboo! I just let people like what they wanna like, and I do NOT call them weeaboos if they like Japanese things.

I don't see the problem with it. My friend's brother watched it when he was only ten years old. Then again, my friend's parents aren't as strict about what she and her siblings watch.

I'm sure as long as you're mature enough to handle it, then there's nothing wrong with it.
His parents don't know what they're doing. Its not the cursing people, its the CONTENT. Americans aren't bakas for rating a TV show the RIGHT way.
I'm not saying the show was rated the wrong way or anything. I haven't watched Hetalia in many months and don't remember most of the bad stuff. That's most likely my reason for disagreeing with you.

Have a cute, curled up Peridot.

But still, I think only adults should watch it because well, Remember episode 35? And that scene with Prussia and Hungary?

Uh, okay, I just rewatched episode 35. I get what you're talking about now. It's mostly just the last minute and a half of it, though.

Are you serious?

“durr there's profanity NO ONE UNDER 18”

There are way worse anime that children could be watching. Genocyber, Step Up Love Story, Panty and Stocking, Please Teacher…and that's just stuff you can find on Netflix.

Just because there's something worse than Thing A, doesn't make Thing A perfectly fine.

Not that I have a qualified opinion, I haven't watched any of those shows.

But in this case, Thing A is perfectly fine. And I haven't seen any of those shows either, I just read their THEM Anime reviews and saw them on Netflix, most of them listed as R or 18+.

Hetalia is rated PG-13 on MyAnimeList, and the community library I go to will let anyone of any age check out every season/the movie (they usually restrict MA or R stuff, guess someone there told them that Hetalia was a child-friendly show).

Seems like there is way more discussion here about who should be watching this show than actual discussion about the show! If there is anybody that wants to discuss the story lines / art / or something like that, please use the Report button to request that the topic be opened. I'm closing this until there is something to discuss.
