Oh wow, I seriously need to stop using 7-zip unless I really need good compression. gzip is mad fast :PYep. Gzip is blazingly fast, especially if you have a modern CPU (read: Intel Haswell+) and you compile it with CloudFlare's zlib. 7zip is impressive in terms of decompression speed, though.
As a side note, ArchiveTeam maintains an interesting list of compression tools for archival purposes.

I meant “more fun” when it is not posted directly- I just get annoyed when “script kiddies” take stuff from the ATs and brag about it without crediting. Pardon.ikr. That's what Github is for.
just what I was thinking

7-zip is excellent except for that it take a long time and lots of RAM (which causes issues sometimes) to compress files on its max settings.Oh wow, I seriously need to stop using 7-zip unless I really need good compression. gzip is mad fast :PYes gzip I gzip everythingThanks xDftfyThat's what encripting it in a gzip is for.Sorry, I did not speak of it clearly. However, the “Fastest” mode gives you most bang for your CPU time.

I've seen that before. It's awesome.
HOWEVER… (I'll leave this cliffhanger for you to figure out. You're probably smart enough. I hope.)
