Hmm… I'm not sure I would have made a very good scratch mod (not modification, by the way ); I'm not great at dealing with problems. However, this seems like a great role for me. I'd be happy to help if needed!

Edit:
P.S. I'm surprised there wasn't a wave of “first post”. I hope I didn't just start it…

first post!

…dang, outposted

((but in all seriousness, I'm going to miss the ol' mod elections. They were such a hit on the 1.x forums))

Will these new helpers (what did you call them again) have extra privileges on the website like the mods or will they just be appointed helpers with something next to their username (maybe a $ sign in front of the username? Then they could all be php variables. )

The related program - “Scratch Helpers” - will be designed to be opt in. Basically, anyone who wants to volunteer will be able to help out in one of many different ways.

Thank you moderators for helping so much with the forums and being so nice and friendly and awesome I think I'll miss you as moderators and I'll also miss the elections. Anyways this scratch mentor helpers project seems great and a lot more “Learning-friendly”

I don't know, I don't think so, I think the mentors may be another place for people to get help, and as Lightnin said, consult with ST from time to time, btu alas I cannot be sure. I don't believe that they actually have any special permissions or anything like that, but I look forward to learning more.

Okay. I guess we'll have to just wait and see, but what you said makes sense.

Yeah, I guess really only ST really know what's going on as they are the ones setting this up, but Lightnin did mention there were some current mentors so they probably know too I guess, but, only time will tell!

I'm kind of reluctant to do away with the moderators program, but if the ST has thought it over and deems it to be the best decision, then so be it.

Mods, thanks for working hard and keeping the forums clean

Mods, I never talked to any of you personally I don't think, but thank you for keeping scratch a safe and fun place for me to go to when I have a small spark of creativity!
