Is it against the Scratch guidelines to announce your birthday and that it;s real soon, using the exact date? I want to make a project as a announcement, but I wasn't sure. Please answer soon, ST! Thanks!

I have seen others do it. Personally, I would not include your age or year of birth.

You're not really supposed to, but people do it anyway.

Some people here even know my first name.

It's just personal information.

Like I'm pretty sure only maybe 3 or 4 people in all of the interent know any of my personal info (Including my name, DoB, etc.).

Oh. Thanks. I wasn't sure. It seems harmless to me.

Might seem harmless, heck, might even be harmless right now, but that's not the point: The point is there is no way to undo it!
It gets archived and cached all around the place, and if 1, 5, or 10 years from now you wish it weren't public for whatever reason, there's no way to “unshare” personal information.

Somewhat like getting a rad tattoo: might seem cool at your current age, but you'll have to live with it your whole life, and you REALLY don't want to be making life-long decisions of that magnitude just yet.

So whenever you are contemplating making personal information public, imagine having a tattoo of the cartoon character that was your favorite when you were 6!

That depends on your parents. If your parents is okay with it, go on. But before “going on” you must make a tough desicion whetever really want anyone to know. My parents allow me. So I share it. And my age. My parents are also okay with it.
