Zan's Custom Art -- Sigs, avatars & more
alright, and sorry for being confusing. I'm working on three things at once and it isn't going well.Oh, uh… okay1: Okay, I meant the speedometer background and the dial are two separate sprites. Uh
I don't really know how I'd make “the interior and exterior” into sprites o_o
I mean, if they're going to be used in a dynamic animation, I can't make them the way that I usually make sprites. I can make the steering wheel, probably, and the speedometer, but not the rest of that.
Oh, and two things:
1. You said speedometer twice, not sure if that's what you meant to do but okay :P
2. Form? (to keep things organized)
and really, I just realised I can do it in GIMP on this crappy laptop, and your time is better spent making good art.
Instead of What I said I would like an art request.
What would you like?:Zan, standing heroically at the edge of a cliff overlooking whatever, with a sunset right in front of her, making her a silhouette. She can also be leaning on a sword if you feel compelled to make it more awesome.
Any people / animals (describe in detail)?: Zan, in her regular garb.
Semirealistic or cartoon-ish?: semi-realistic
How soon do you need this?: Take your time. try to get it in before next year.
What will it be used for?: Pure awesomeness.
Notes: If you want to make it simpler, be free to. I just feel silly pulling a request, so I figured I would ask for something more awesome.
I'll try sem-re first, but if that doesn't work out I'll just draw it in the usual cartoon. :3

Request for a signature
What colors / images, if any, would you like on it?: OK. I would like the letters S.C.R.A.T.C.H. GO in scratchy font and lettering. I then want it replaced by ‘Best Collaboration’. Have lots of party poppers.
Any people / animals (describe in detail)?: None
Any text?: OK. I would like the letters S.C.R.A.T.C.H. GO in scratchy font and lettering. I then want it replaced by ‘Best Collaboration’.
How big should it be (default size is 690x120)?: The size of a signature?
How soon do you need this?: As soon as you can.
Notes: Put it in whatever style you like. Have fun making it.

Hi, can I have a sprite?
What would you like?: A chocolate bar (with eyes and a half peeled wrapper)
Any color restrictions (i.e., Pokemon)?:No
How big should it be (no larger than 120 x120)? Doesn't matter
How soon do you need this?: No deadline though the sooner the better
Notes: ~None~

I just got online, so I will do that. Say on the front page that if you want pixel art, look a Falcon's Pixel Shop. On his it says that his i partnered with yours.

@ Centrefugal
Accepted, I'll put you up on the list, although yours'll have to wait a little bit because I'm going to do HarryB's first.
Speaking of which… @ HarryB what you're saying is that you want an animated signature, right? Hmm…. I think I can do that, but it will take some time. I don't have Flash or anything – just Elements – so I'll have to do the animation by hand. It seems doable, though.
@ Rumanti
Thanks! :D

Hey zan, I've been doing animations in elements for a little bit, and its pretty easy. although I make mine using the shape tools, so it might take you longer, with you drawing it and all.I just got online, so I will do that. I assume you already know how to make a gif and save for web?

I mean, I did animate them using Scratch, but while I was making them I checked to see how smoothly the frames moved using the Save for Web feature.Ah, I guess I just assumed you uploaded them one by one and animated them using scratch. How do you think I made my last two animations? ;3 Hey zan, I've been doing animations in elements for a little bit, and its pretty easy. although I make mine using the shape tools, so it might take you longer, with you drawing it and all.

((and hey, since you're more experienced– how can I make the frame delay longer on a specific frame without duplicating it? I change the frame delay in Gimp, but I was wondering if it was possible to do it in Elements))

You can't that I know of. I usually just dupe the frame until it feels long enough. You can make the animation only happen once, but I assume that isn't what you are looking for.I mean, I did animate them using Scratch, but while I was making them I checked to see how smoothly the frames moved using the Save for Web feature.Ah, I guess I just assumed you uploaded them one by one and animated them using scratch. How do you think I made my last two animations? ;3 Hey zan, I've been doing animations in elements for a little bit, and its pretty easy. although I make mine using the shape tools, so it might take you longer, with you drawing it and all.

I just looked it up. it seems that unless you want to install a linux kernel and learn how to make gifs using only the command line, you are a bit out of luck. Adding more frames increases the file size, but if you are only making small gifs for preview you should be fine.

Thanks for fulfilling my request. You can take your time. It is not anything urgent.
Do you mean by animate by hand as in do the drawings on paper and then do them as separate frames?
P.S. You are amazing at art. I have just looked at your 100 followers project. Thought the character does look a little unrealistic (no offense whatsoever) but I would pick you if I ever needed an artist.

Okay. I usually don't make large animations for anything other than Scratch, and even if I do make something for non-Scratch related things – like I said, I can always do the actual animating in Gimp. ;3 Thanks a million, dude.
@ HarryB
Thank you! :D
And, yeah, I didn't bother trying to make that realistic. I don't even want to think about the amount of work it'd take to make a realistic animation by hand. :P
Plus, I usually draw my fantroll in a more cartoony style, because it's easier to give her emotion and to make her move that way.
Oh, and when I say animate by hand, I mean that I draw each frame one by one. I don't use animation programs like Flash, where (I believe) you can program a predrawn object to move and stretch the way you want.
