Scratch's Favorite Songs Ever! Vote!
I find this list incredibly biased since all the top songs are rock/metal/The Beach Boys. That is because more people on here have voted for metal than dubstep.

And seriously, bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, and Dream Theater (<<especially them) have TONS of talent, and they actually play real instruments.

i wouldn't mind aphex twin or kraftwerk winning, i didnt really like the song suggested though - i prefered Autobahn.I find this list incredibly biased since all the top songs are rock/metal/The Beach Boys. The Beach Boys are rock.
And you're right, it's incredibly biased due to the fact that it's a poll on a children's programming website and it's based wholly on their music tastes. Lists of best things are always biased, though, because they're matters of opinion.
If we're going for influential music, there'd probably be a lot more classical and jazz on the list rated higher. There would be some older rock (on the list so far, I think the Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Queen, Metallica, David Bowie, the Doors, and the Beatles, as well as some others, though not necessarily the songs that have been nominated) as well as probably some older rap/hip-hop and influential electronic music like Kraftwerk and maybe even Aphex Twin, if we're erring on the more recent side of things.
The reason why the top songs are rock/metal are because that's what people like and recognise as influential. Like it or not, and objectively speaking, your choices are not influential and therefore shouldn't be included in an objective, non-biased list of the top songs ever. Though neither should Green Day nor those particular Metallica selections, in my opinion at least. They haven't been given enough time to be influential.

Autobahn is definitely more influential, I agree. And I dont'think tha t it'd necessarily be winning, but it definitely would make the list.

I find this list incredibly biased since all the top songs are rock/metal/The Beach Boys. The Beach Boys have literally one song on that list, and they fit into your Rock grouping in the first place. It would make much more sense to go after any of the multiple other bands that have more than one song on the list. The Beatles are over-represented, and Metallica probably shouldn't be at the top, but that's because people simply want their song to “win” and so group vote. So yeah I have no idea why you singled them out of everything on there. Anyway, I chose that song because it is one of the only ones I can tend to think of with certainty as something I would put on a favorites list. If I was going to put any more deliberation into considering song's influence than I did, I would definitely include more genres considering I've only even selected one song.
And it is just about as unbiased as you can get in the way it is being collected. If we take the list to be “The Favorite Songs of the Users of the Scratch Programming Forums” and not literally as Top Songs Ever. If the list of songs had been solely decided by one purpose and then he went “mmkay vote”, that would be biased.

Is it possible I could switch out one of the songs I picked earlier?
If it's possible, can you switch the Ivan the Terrible one with "Still… You Turn Me On" by Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Not yet on list:
“November Rain” // Guns and Roses (I wonder how an 80s glam band managed to write a symphonic epic like this.)
“Octavarium” // Dream Theater (20 minutes and it doesn't get boring!)
“Scavenger of Human Sorrow” // Death (love these guys, their last album was pretty technical and again, not boring at all)
“The Four Horsemen” live at Seattle ‘89 // Metallica (best version of the song, so much energy put into it)
“For Whom The Bell Tolls” live at Day on the Green festival ’85 // Metallica (Cliff's solo before it and Hetfield's screams. <3)
“Sleepwalker” // Megadeth (lovely riffing and catchy overall)
“I Stayed” // Sometimes the Cat (dude deserves the praise.)
Already on it:
7. “I Want To Break Free” // Queen
76. “Bohemian Rhapsody” // Queen
85. “Here Comes The Sun” // The Beatles
