MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe; Earth-19999)

Hello there! Do you like Marvel movies, big fan of their comics? Well this is the right thread for you!

No idea what the Marvel Cinematic Universe is or what the heck 19999 means after earth?

Don't worry, there'll be an explanation and you can go get the movies and binge watch them tonight or something :p

~~~ For non-Marvel fans ~~~
The Marvel Cinematic Universe currently consists of 12 movies, 2 TV Shows, 1 Netflix Show (3 more on their way) , 5 One-Shots (Shorts), 27 Tie-In Comics of Preludes or Aftermaths and 9 Non-Canon (Not part of offical continuity/timeline) Video Games
As TV Shows such as Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty or others have great continuity ,in essence, meaning, the episodes are tied in with each other, think of each marvel movie as a connected episode and not as a sequel like other studios.
The movies began with 2008's Iron Man, and the latest 2015 Ant-Man. The movies currently are divided into “Phases”
Phase 1, Which i like to call Avengers Assemble Consists of
Iron Man (2008)
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Thor (2011)
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
Marvel's The Avengers (2012)
And then Phase Two kicking off with
Iron Man 3 (2013)
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Ant-Man (2015)
and as you can see, Ant-Man was the final film in Phase 2. Phase 3 is already announced by Marvel and consists of 11 movies instead of 12, i know, crazy!
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Doctor Strange (2016)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
(Untitled Spider Man Film) Spider-Man (2017)
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Black Panther (2018)
Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 (2018)
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
Captain Marvel (2019)
Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 (2019)
Inhumans (2019)
Now, we can't be sure if there are any more movies as Marvel says announcing more movies will spoil the next few movies.
You may have noticed Italics, Bold and Underlines
Bold + Underlines = Crucial, you need to see it to understand other movies
Bold = Important, highly recommended to see
Nothing = Mediocre Movie, not much important things though/fun movie
Italics = Waste of time, probably.
The Incredible Hulk is not relevant to the MCU all that much and is more of a lame origin story, and they changed actors.
Now for Phase 3 i can't be sure but those are my predictions.
Got it? Know what the MCU is? No? Have a browse around the wiki then
MCU Wiki
~~~ End of For Non-Marvel Fans ~~~

So, which movie are you most hyped for in Phase 3?

Civil War? Infinity War? Ragnarok? Another one?

Personally i am dying for Black Panther, he is my favourite Marvel Superhero and i love him!!! His costume looks sick as well! I am also really hyped for Doctor Strange because it will introduce the weird and magical side of the MCU!

Also, Bonus Question: So far the movies have only shown 4/6 Infinity Stones/Gems (Depending if you see the comics, if you don't know what they are search em up) and i found a interesting thing on the internet about them

T - Tesseract (Space Stone)
H - ??? (Soul Stone)
A - Aether (Reality Stone)
N - ??? (Time Stone)
O - Orb (Power Stone)
S - Scepter/Vision (Mind Stone)

As you can see, it spells out THANOS and as we comic fans know, he's the big purple dude with a sick infinity gauntlet out to destroy the universe to please his crush on Death, which is a character and a girl… so… he's kinda crazy.

The bad thing is that Fox still owns the rights to Galactus and Silver Surfer, 2 crucial people/entities in the Marvel Comics.

So what and where do you think the last 2 stones are in the MCU

Still Confused non-Marvel fans? Check out Comics Explained which is a cool dude who explains comic related/MCU things, this one is about the Infinity Stones

TL;DR

Question: What Phase 3 movie are you most hyped for?

BONUS QUESTION (4 dem sick comic book nerds : Where do you think the last 2 Infinity Stones/Gems are in the MCU?

I have this crazy theory: Nathaniel Pietro Barton (Hawkeye's and Lauren's youngest child in Avengers: Age of Ultron) will age rapidly due to the time stone and be incredibly important in phase 3 films, at least. I mean, really, the fact that Hawkeye has a family likely isn't just to sink the whole Barton/Romanoff ship.

Hey, he's onto something! Maybe he could gain Quicksilver's powers or something.

Boom.

I mean, that is likely since {SPOILERS} [The original Quicksilver TOOK THE FREAKING BULLETS for Hawkeye and this random young boy INSTEAD OF EITHER PUSHING THE CHARACTERS OR TAPPING THE BULLETS AWAY THUS LETTING HIM LIVE] and all.

Remember that machine that gave Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver powers in AoU? What if the kid finds that and gains powers to become a superhero, maybe if they buy the rights to another X-men character

I'll be honest, I'd rather you didn't shoot down movies that other people like by saying that they were bad.

Thor: Ragnarok's going to be directed by Taika Waititi, whose works have been very well-received and his film What We Do in the Shadows I personally enjoy. They've let him have free reign with his style, so I wonder what it's going to be like.

Honestly, I'm more hyped for Infinity War.

Honestly though, I'd have bolder and underlined Captian America III.
