The huns are a little overpowered

I've heard that this was a good beginner's introduction to the Civilization series. I hope to try it out soon. (Although it might be possible that I will be trying Civ 4 first.)

Does anyone else really love playing as Arabia?
I mean, extra religion spreading through trade routes, double oil, bazzars to have a kick-butt gold income, and most importantly: Camel Archers.

civilization 5 is like the best game ever I try to play it every night!

Still, Germany isn't always the best. In a war with rome in the ancient age rome would have the advantage since they have their unique units in the ancient age. The Germans don't have their unique unit until the renaissance or something. No one country is the best. It really depends on your play style. Some countries are stronger in some ages, while others are more spread out. Anyway, I have a save as portugal in BNW going. I'm in the atomic age in 1987. Napoleon just recently got to the industrial age. The songhai with two cities, some guys with 16th century muskets and some pikemen and some bronze cannons are trying to bully me, while I have like twenty+ cities and a carrier off their coast. I control the world congress, have the dominant religion, control pretty much an entire continent, with the exception of a city state on the souther tip and an ottoman city I have permitted to exist there on the northern tip of portugal island. No other nation can match me. I've annihilated persia in two consecutive wars, and all their cities are either completely mine or are puppets. I also have control of Rome, with their three cities under my control or puppets, with I think great holy people on their way to convert them. The only real threat to me is the ottoman empire, who control the north of the persian continent, and who might be in the industrial age. I'm preparing to colonize an island to the south of glorious portugal island with a city state on it, and may establish another city on a rock in the middle of the ocean. The other nations are angry at me for doing stuff in the world congress, but they don't understand. It's not actually their congress. The don't really get a say. I have enough votes to do whatever I want and get it passed and still prevent their stuff from being passed. I own it.

Also, barbarians cease to be a thing once once you've got to the renaissance. A good road system is better. Rome's legions can make roads. They are amazing. And if you don't think roads are important then you are a fool. Roads are incredibly important. I learned this lesson in Civ: BE and in rising empires (Similar game to civ for mobile)

Plus you would have to start over every time because scratch doesn't really save

is there a civ 6 topic? sorry, i don't play civ 5, but i do often play civ 6.
