Structure generation in Minecraft

You're close…
You give Minecraft a blueprint of what to craft, and how to craft it. Minecraft handles all crafting events and such on it's own, and it is pretty pointless to add-on to the events. You yourself are not telling Minecraft how to action an event, you are telling Minecraft the product of a few events it handles.

For you structure generation, you need to add on to the world generation event. Look around in Minecraft Forge to see if there is an event for world creation (or something like that), and look up tutorials on how to handle Minecraft events through Forge. You can try events out on your own to get a firm hold on what and how events do and work (for example, make it so when a pig dies, spawn a diamond sword where the pig used to be. AKA, make the pig drop a diamond sword

).

The structures generated in Minecraft are on either the surface or underground.The ways to toggle these are to turn off natural structures in Superflat,or to toggle the structures you want in 1.8.

I stumbled upon this thread while looking for help on this very subject. So, I'd like to know how to generate something like a cave or dungeon or stronghold. Does anyone know?

Edit: Never mind, I saw an earlier post that helped. So, now, I'll post an update if I manage to get something working.

I've done some stuff with I think it was Wuppy29, but I learned how to make ore spawn, if that would help.
