How do you remove a sprite from the stage without deleting the sprite from your library?
I've tried right clicking on the sprite that's in the stage and then hitting delete, but that deletes the sprite entirely from my project, which I don't want to do. I just want to remove them from the stage. Any suggestions?

Click the little I on the sprite in the sprite menu, and make sure the “show” option isn't checked.

Go into the looks category and try hide. This will stop your sprite from being rendered or detected. Note that scripts will still run, like events.
If you want it to be detectable but hidden, use the set effect to block with the inputs ghost and 100.
To show the sprite again, use show and set ghost effect to 0 (or clear graphic effects).

Put your sprites to “backpack” then delete the ones at the stage.
