Onionskinning
I thought it would be a good idea to add onion skinning for the Costumes. It'd make animating walking/running a lot easier.

A nice trick is to add a script that stamps the next and/or previous costumes with a ghost effect. The paint editor should update the sprite as you draw, so you should get the same kind of thing.

Well, yeah, but…I find it easier to draw with a guide. For me, no two drawings are exactly pixel perfect, and if I draw something incorrectly, I have to do it all over again…
“In traditional cartoon animation, the individual frames of a movie were initially drawn on thin onionskin paper over a light source. The animators (mostly inbetweeners) would put the previous and next drawings exactly beneath the working drawing, so that they could draw the ‘in between’ to give a smooth motion.” ~Wikipedia, “Onion skinning”

I'd really love to have an onion skin in the paint editor! As i do animation it would be so much more easier to do frame by frame animation rather than having to duplicate the old layer and changing it.

basically the color picker would have another bar for transparency. Suport.

Actually no. basically the color picker would have another bar for transparency. Suport.

It's showing the previous costume transparently in the paint editor.

Onion skinning would be so useful.
There's another meaning of onion skinning too- where you get rid of one colour to transparency In animation. (also known as chroma key)
that's how greenscreen works.
You could have fun with that and the video blocks.

Support; it might not be too useful for hardcore programmers but it's great for people who animate or want good looking sprites for their mini games

Example of my horrible no-onionskinning movement sprites.
