New Sound Detection Block Sugestion

I don't even think you're arguing because you dislike, the idea, I think you just can't let it go.
Yu are half right- an idea shouldn't be rejected simply based on it's complexity. It's comparing the complexity to the added functionality. Unfortunately, this block will not add much functionality to scratch, making the added complexity and the work required by the ST to add the block just isn't worth it.

New Sound Detection Block Sugestion

Support, and here are my reasons:
  1. The only workaround is to use the
    (loudness)
    block, which isn't perfect in that it picks up background noise, and will not work without a microphone.
  2. It will add lots of functionality, lets see what I can list:
    A. Audio visualizers that would work with every song.
    B. Games that change their behavior depending on how loud or soft the soundtrack is.
    C. Probably some more.
  3. The block
    set rotation style [ v]
    has a very limited purpose, and isn't used very much. If we can have it, why not a audio level block?
