I tried downloading Scratch 2.0 offline editor. After full install and Adobe AIR, this error comes up in the Software Centre

“There isn’t a software package called “edu.media.mit.scratch2editor” in your current software sources.”

And the editor opens in just a white background.

it was all working fine a week back. I re-installed again after it started showing the editor with just white background.

The latest version of the Scratch 2 editor doesn't work with Linux-type environments anymore. Meaning it doesn't work with any of these

Try downloading v437 air version https://scratch.mit.edu/scratchr2/static/sa/Scratch-437.air

As Dylan5797 stated, we are currently having issues with the offline editor v439 and linux .

Then I think Scratch 2 should not recommend upgrade to v439a, unless this works, each time one starts Scratch 2 Offline Editor. I have now v434a. It would be good though if Scratch 2 suggested upgrading to the latest working version on Linux, i.e. v437.
