Pitch shifter (20 supporters)

In the Sounds, we have the louder, softer, and reverse features right? Well, I have an idea.

In the Scratch Sound editor/player, you should be able to add a pitch shifter, so you can change the pitch of the sound.

If this is a duplicate of any topic sorry

I also thought about it. Maybe they could add a pitch block…

UPDATE: it seems like Scratch 3.0 is adding a pitch effect to sounds, even though in the process it changes the length of them. This suggestion was meant to add a pitch shifter that does not change the length of sounds. This topic could be considered irrelevant, so I'll just leave it open to die out.

Support. They SHOULD add more effects to it, anyway. But maybe they should also add blocks to use these effects. It's kind of confusing to get to the sound editor anyways.

I know what you mean, putting sound shifters into the scratch editor, but couldn't you just do the same in audacity? Plus, it has more features.

Well its something you have to download so it would be easier if all of Audacity's features were also scratch features.

There are probably a lot of scratchers who aren't allowed to download anything or who are a bit paranoid when it comes to downloading. Allowing these scratchers to access these features would make it easier for them.
