New Game For Kids: Balloon Buster
Hey everyone,
I have been rather ill lately so I haven't had time to post any new projects but today I was feeling better and just finished a brand new game:
Balloon Buster
This is a clone of Bubble Blast 2 (link to Amazon)
For best results, run in turbo mode (shift + green arrow) though I am sure @DadOfMrLog will come along and point out many ways to eradicate lag.
Goal: Bust all of the balloons in the allotted number of hits
Red: 1 hit to bust
Green: 2 hits to bust
Yellow: 3 hits to bust
Blue: 4 hits to bust
There are 5 difficulty levels and 100 game boards per difficulty level (that's 500 game boards to play).
Each difficulty level has an overlap with the previous level so do not expect game 2-1 to harder than 1-100 though each difficulty does get progressively harder.
I apologize in advance if you find the game too easy or that it takes too long to get to hard boards. I wrote the game for my daughters (5 & 7).
If there is that much desire for an adult (harder) version, I can certainly whip one up without too much trouble provided I can find the time
Update: At the request of @scubajerry (who also worked out a lag bug), I have provided a way to manually select difficulty/level. This will prevent high scoring as it could be used to cheat. Simply hit the m key to select.
High score and user are maintained but there is a minor loss of fidelity in the username (everything is converted to lowercase and any character that is not a letter or number is converted to a ?). I saw that @turkey3 recently posted Guide to Case Sensing (2.0) but I was running out of steam.

I hope you love playing it as much as I loved writing it.
Cheers,
Joshua
