Profile Picture/Thumbnail/Thingy that represents you

I have been wondering a lot about my profile picture, because, well, I don't have one. So I decided to
draw a picture of it on this website. It's just a background, no scripts or sprites or anything, and know comes the
hard part- how do I put it as the profile picture? I know (ok, I think) that you put it into a file then upload the file, but
HOW do you put it in a file? I know it's probably something obvious that I'm missing, but I've Googled it a lot and
I just can't seem to figure it out! Can someone please help me? Thanks!

P.S. If this is in the wrong forum, please tell me, and then tell me how to move it!

Hi Aquadrop! I'll help you, but first it is important to know: is the drawing you made in Scratch a vector costume or bitmap? You can find out in the bottom-right corner of the paint editor. If it says “convert to vector” it is currently a bitmap costume. If it says “convert to bitmap” it is currently a vector costume. If it is a bitmap file, then on the left side of the paint editor, the costumes pane, where all the costumes are located, right-click on the one you want (or shift-click), and select “save to local file”. Then, save that to your computer. Next, open you profile on the website, and in the top-left , if you drag the mouse over the image, a “change your picture” will appear. Click on that, and select the image to upload.

If the image was a vector one, you'll have to take a screenshot and save the image to your computer that way, I can help you further with that if need be. I hope it all works well
