After the update of Scratch 2.0 last week, I cannot run Scratch 2.0 with my picoboard any more. When I do “add an Extension” in “More Blocks”, the error “See the Tips window (on the right) to install the plug-in and get the extesion working.” always pop-up. Even, I installed the ScratchDevicePlugin.msi again, the same error message happened again. My system is Windows 7.

Could someone give me a hint to resolve this problem? Or, someone tell me how to check the plug-in been installed in the Windows, and where is the plug-in been installed?

I suspect you are using Chrome, because they recently banned npapi plugins like the Wedo/PicoBoard plugin.

Two options for you:
A) use FireFox instead

B)
1) Start Chrome
2) paste this into the browser
chrome

/flags/#enable-npapi
and enable that option
3) exit Chrome and then restart it.

Option B will work for a few months, but npapi is on its way out…

Thanks for the advice. I tried option B, the plug-in can be enabled. However, my picoboard still doesn't work. It shows yellow light after “add an extension”.

I am trying to get my new public school to be allowed to install the WeDo extension so we can use our new WeDo equipment. They need the answers to the following question:

Will the extension work if it is installed in the account library and not the main library?

I'm using Scratch 2.0 online on a Mac with OS 10.10.3 and have installed all Picoboard extensions and drivers. I can see the Picoboard blocks in More Blocks. However, I can't get the sensor value to appear on the scratch workspace and can't get the cat to move using the Picoboard Slider. Any suggestions?

In my laptop also it works great.

I just got my Picoboard from Sparkfun.com.
I connect the picoboard to my computer using the micro USB connector.
I opened Scratch 2.0 (not the online version) went to MORE BLOCKS -ADD an extension then I got two options,,, picoboard & Lego WeDo…double click on Picoboard and BINGO…working perfectly…
