Talk about JabbaHis species is called the Hutts, and their home planet is Nal Hutta, which means Glorious Jewel in Huttese. They are notorious for running black markets and gangs. They are slow and leave a trail of slime behind them.
He's disgusting and ugly.

I've recently began reading the Legacy of the Force book series. I love SW, and I'm wondering if anyone here has read any EU.

Its one of teh SW book series. Mainly about Han and Leia's two remaining kids, Jaina and Jacen. Basically, Jacen turns bad. Also has Luke and Mara's kid, Ben.
It's really good. Set about 10 years after Anakin Solo's death during Yuzaang Vong war. You should check it out, but just warning you, there is quite a bit of political stuff in there.

I've read quite a bit, but none of it recently. When I was quite a bit younger I got into the Jedi Apprentice books and checked out almost every one in the local public library. Over the last couple years I've read a number of Timothy Zahn's books:
Thrawn Trilogy (rather annoyed that this “official canon” is being completely disregarded in the making of the new movies)
Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future
Allegiance
Outbound Flight (yes, alright, I had a bit of an infatuation with Thrawn xD )
Survivor's Quest (I remember scarcely anything about this one).
Doubtless there are some I am missing (I kinda went through a phase, haha). All things considered, I've been pretty satisfied with what I've read.

I think it's a good thing that the movies will have their own canon. I haven't read all of the Thrawn trilogy (or a whole book from it) but what I did read seemed like it was intended to move a lot slower than a movie ever could, and a lot of it's ideas, honestly, just wouldn't work when you can see it (and some of it didn't seem Star Wars-y to me? i guess)I've recently began reading the Legacy of the Force book series. I love SW, and I'm wondering if anyone here has read any EU.

Yeah, I read the first book in the Thrawn trilogy. It was really good. I agree about the movies. They better follow EU canon!
