Is there a way to delete the level and leave the grid intact?

I am thinking that you would have to make the grid part of the backdrop. Then you could add everything to it, play the level and then to a CLEAR. The backdrop would obviously stay.

I don't do art, but there must be a tool you could draw it in and upload it. but how could I get the grid to be the perfect size box?
Another alternative is to make the obstacles be sprites, and/or clones of sprites.

You can tick ‘run without screen refresh’ in the custom block options and the grid generates almost instantly. c:

Ok using this method, I still get the level ‘rendering’ I wanted but it is quick. By using a broadcast at the end of the grid to activate the level instead of the custom block, the second stage is normal speed
