Grouping Points in Vector (Support: 23:0)
(I'm not sure how flexible the Scratch Vector editor is, but I've seen some vector editors with this feature so…)
Basically, this suggestion is that you can group points temporarily so you can move them.
This way, if you have an abstract shape and want to move something around but the keep the distance between two or more points, you can select several points, and when you drag them, they'll have the same distance from each other as they did before.
This would help meeveryone a lot in editing… pretty much anything that isn't a stick.
example: a leg or an arm you want to bend. If you couldn't group them, you'd have different proportions.
hey and maybe also a way to rotate the group once you have them?

tl;dr: this video explains it well, I think. https://youtu.be/EBYZ_k2bZKo

(I'm about to use editing the Scratch Cat as an example, but I would not use this function on the Scratch Cat but rather my own OCs) You can currently group vector shapes - and the shapes contain the points…so I'm thinking you can already do this? Have you played with the shape grouping tool?
Grouping two shapes would allow me to move the Scratch cat's two arms and keep the distance and size between them…
However, my suggestion is about the points that make up shapes.
See those little dots?
They help you move parts of the arm, but you have to move each dot by hand in the Scratch Editor… but if I want to make the Scratch Cat arm longer but still the same width, it would be hard to keep the width the same by moving the dots, where each dot would not move the same, no matter how hard I try.
(Note: the Scratch Cat arm was actually sort of easy, but any vector art worth its salt uses MUCH more points, which makes the Scratch Cat a bad example)
If I grouped the three points that related to the width and the height of the arm, I could make the arm longer while keeping all the proportions the same.
Does that explain my suggestion?

Eh, support, but I haven't used the Scratch Editor in over 2 months.
I always use Inkscape.

I haven't used the editor at all since Scratch Day. I use Inkscape for vector too. Eh, support, but I haven't used the Scratch Editor in over 2 months.
