Bionicles
I was extremely angry when these got discontinued.
I loved Bionicles around the age of 6-9 years old, and kinda lost interest, but when I heard they were no longer selling them, I was maaaad. I still have my old Bionicles all posed up on top of my bookshelf, in fact.

I liked Bionicles when I was maybe eight years old. It was one of my many tomboyish phases, being a girl. I had a pretty big collection of them, most of which were inherited from my older brother. I was too old for them by the time they stopped making them, so I didn't really care anymore. And about a year and a half ago, I sold my entire collection to my younger cousin because he begged asked me for them.

I have one with an air-powered rocket. I can't find it. Or my red Exo-Force figure. And I guess my Hero Factory Furno figure (Hero Factory is Bionicle's spiritual successor) is in my brother's room. He LOVES LEGO.

My cousins LOVE LEGO. They got a whole set of Bionicles! Even some vehicles and stuff… But, my favorite set is still their LEGO City Police Station.
I just gotta love it.

Any1 realised Bionicle, Exo-Force, Hero Factory, Legends of Chima (Chi-Up) and a few other lines share the same base skeleton?

That's the whole point. Bionicles where made to be poseable action figures that were still somewhat compatible with LEGO Technique. Hero Factory followed the same idea, and whenever a set is made that needs to fit those requirements, they will use the Bionicle frame. Don't even talk about the discontinuation.. if that's a word.
Better than Hero Factory, IMO.
Even so, I dismantled a ton and rebuilt them. Now, they have 6 legs and I call them “Insectoids”. [/tangent]

Never had the money for a big collection, and I found out about them in 2006, Toa Inika era. :< I loved the storyline: the comics, podcasts, movies and stuff.
Were you guys on BZPower before it started posting Hero Factory, and now apparently just general LEGO news and reviews? I remember I was there as “Toa of Sillyness”, wasn't too active though. I remember someone was making a fan-made stopmotion movie. Like, a full length one. Might've been this, but I figure she and some VAs could've voiced it in English (it's in French), and I'm pretty sure the plot was set in an entirely new OC world (the movie linked is apparently about Maxilos or something, didn't watch it).

I started liking Bionicle right before the discontinuation, so I missed pretty much everything. Never had the money for a big collection, and I found out about them in 2006, Toa Inika era. :< I loved the storyline: the comics, podcasts, movies and stuff.

I never was involved in the fandom, and by the time I COULD have joined, it was too late.
So, yeah. I missed EVERYTHING.

My little brother kept watching that one- I have the Bionicle 3rd Movie!
I just remembered that now, and I don't know how I even got it!
It was one of my favorite movies
but he would skip everything but the final scene.
And watch it over- and over- and over- and over-
I never knew it was possible to have a movie's lines stuck in your head.

Discovered Bionicle in 2004, when Mata Nui Online Game II came out, and followed it until after the Toa Mahri. I think my family still has most of the Bionicle sets that we had, as well as a whole bunch of the old comic books.

Same. Unfortunately, after the first release of MNOG2 (which I was too young to figure out), each subsequent version was missing more and more of the Flash files, making it more and more unplayable (the main one I remember being NokamaConversation.swf, so you couldn't talk to Nokama w/out the game crashing). They're both amazing games (along with Voya Nui Online Game, although that's a different style of game).<333333 Mata Nui Online Game

The Voya Nui one was pretty fun too; my brother and I beat that one.

MNOGII is less straightfoward, but still fun.
Due to saving issues, I haven't gotten very far through VNOG.
