why the mak file size for the thumbnail is 1 MB, i yould change to at least 3MB

It's actually 700kb, since the Scratch Team don't want you to make animated thumbnails, so they make the limit tiny.

Naw, it's 1MB, he's right, I'm pretty sure. The arrow gifs on my profile are 800kb, so the limit can't possibly be 700kb…

Besides, I think he's talking about profile pic thumbnails (not certain) but I think those are 1MB also.

I'm not sure the Scratch Team would be able to support a tripled image limit (they might have to get more servers!) but I think that you should be able to change your profile pic to an image referenced on one of the approved forum image hosts.
