Depressing Songs
Different to disturbing songs, sometimes artists create songs that have a dark and sad feeling to them.
For example, there's Johnny Cash's “Hurt”, which, as well as having a dark undertone, was also one of Cash's final songs before his death. The song was made as if Cash knew he was dying… o_o

Red by Okkervil River. It's not depressing per se, but it's about a mother and daughter losing their connection, and the mother especially wants it back.
Also, I dunno about the meaning of the song itself, but The World At Large by Modest Mouse sounds sad (to me)

Gary Jules' “Mad World” and “Falling Awake” are pretty depressing, but one of my favorites.
PLUS, I dunno why, but one of my friends listen to Christina Perry's “Jar Of Hearts”, which is also pretty depressing.
I listen to more songs, but I can' remember which

I was going to say “Mad World” but Mewly beat me to it. I guess I'll go with the other option, American Pie. It sounds cheery, but the song is very depressing once you learn about its backstory, actually it's still depressing as long as you pay attention to the lyrics.

“I Will Wait For You” by Connie Francis
It may not seem depressing at first, but if you listen to the lyrics and then watch the end of Futurama's “Jurassic Bark,” you will bawl your eyes out.
Usually Futurama does not make me emotional but that episode is an exception (sorry for being off topic)
