Classic Rock Topic!
I don't know if this is a duplicate, but my favorite kind of music is classic rock. I also like 80s music, newer rock, and alternative. Anyone else?

I like GnR. The rest is a bunch of thrash bands from the 80s like Metallica, Exodus, Testament, Megadeth, Anthrax… Not exactly classic rock.

I used to be an Aerosmith fan, but I've moved on to hard rock, metal, thrash metal, and sometimes death metal.

I think “Load” and “Reload” qualify as hard rock, even if they weren't that good. I like GnR. The rest is a bunch of thrash bands from the 80s like Metallica, Exodus, Testament, Megadeth, Anthrax… Not exactly classic rock.

From the Black Album onwards they're quite tame; more hard rock than thrash metal.I think “Load” and “Reload” qualify as hard rock, even if they weren't that good. I like GnR. Depends on what I have stuck at the moment, and right now that's a bunch of punk and a brostep tune No, no. Still qualifies! What is your favorite song?
but out of those artists, probably GnR's “Perfect Crime” and “November Rain” (I wonder what made a bunch of hard rockers write something as intricate and beautiful as that.), Exodus' “A Lesson In Violence”, Metallica's “Motorbreath” and others.

Yes, I would count them. I've been on a Styx rampage ever since I saw one of their concerts a couple weeks ago.

Anyways, I am glad others share my enthusiasm for older songs! I love this type of music, as the songs aren't the overproduced, overly-repetitive, and identical pop “songs” that are popular today. Just saying

My favorite (classic rock) band is a tie between Journey and Foreigner.

What about Death Magnetic? D:From the Black Album onwards they're quite tame; more hard rock than thrash metal.I think “Load” and “Reload” qualify as hard rock, even if they weren't that good. Anyway, AC/DC and Led Zepplin are the first things that come to mind when I think “Classic Rock”. Maybe Deep Purple.

Oh man, how did I miss this thread previously. A good chunk of the music I listen to is classical rock. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Dick Dale (if that counts), Emerson Lake and Palmer, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Santana, Queen, King Crimson (Court of the Crimson King era), Deep Purple, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Goblin, Public Image Ltd, and Killing Joke are just a few of the classic rock musicians I listen to. And I do like a couple of albums by David Bowie.
I might've listed a few alternative rock musicians in the list. But who cares, they're still great.

I'd probably lump some ‘80s stuff in with classic rock too. But then there’s the classic rock radio stations that have started playing Nirvana and Pearl Jam, so I guess it really depends. TBH it's not a very good label anyway because it's so ambiguous. Wow. And here I am thinking classic rock is 50s to 70s

I only heard one of his full albums, and I heard some of his songs separately. And from what I heard I like his stuff. The full album of his that I heard was Low, and the songs I heard separately were Golden Years, Life on Mars, and The Man Who Sold the World (my favorite song of his so far, right next to Breaking Glass from Low). I didn't hear anything of his so far that I disliked. And I do like a couple of albums by David Bowie. You only like some Bowie albums? May I ask which ones you like and which you dislike?
