This is a cool idea! I'm not completely sure how it would work, but I support it!

You can use a software called join.me. It's easy, and you don't need to sign up (Yeh!! Because of my dad)

It would be nice if two or more different users could collaborate on one project live/ together at the same time.
For example, say 2 people are creating a game. Person1 is creating the player while Person2 is creating an enemy. Person1 needs help with the scripting so Person2 helps and edits it live … basically like having 2 people be able to create a project together simultaneously. This would be amazing because two people could combine skills to create an amazing project. It could be in both the people's My Stuff section under the heading of Collaborations or something like that just as Shared Projects and Unshared Projects are headings. If added, it should make sure that both people are happy to share the project (both have clicked share before actually shared). Notifications for when projects have been edited by the other person and when they want to share it. This would be amazing, you can change options if you want but this would make Scratch a million times better, especially for me!

I think this is a great idea! There could be so many possiblities in the Scratch Community if people could share projects!
I hope your idea works!

Science isn't the problem. The design of the Scratch servers are.I like this idea! This could really be a great update and helpful for collabs. But if this can't be added, maybe new technology could help achieve this goal! Perhaps we could give scientists ideas to create new inventions.Yes, but how would it work? Scratch isn't designed for live editing… It might crash the servers :O
I know, I'm not sure. I wish this was a reality, but I can understand if they can't do it.
You see, when Scratch was created, it was made in a way that happened to be “unfriendly” with live editing. Although there wouldn't be huge issues to overcome if the ST decided to add live-editing, it would force them to completely rewrite most of Scratch's save system. It would be like trying to turn a 2-floor house into a 5-floor hotel - There wouldn't be any problems with the technology, but it would be expensive and time-consuming.
Yes. The Scratch severs would be down for days, weeks, or months if this were to happen. THey would have to change the ‘if you’re logged in to the same account thing' and the saving process. Scientists have nothing to do with the program of scratch. It is the way the site is built and if this is wanted you are going to have to live without Scratch for at most a couple months.

I understand this problem, but I still think it's possible. But you're right on that the server would be down for a while.

This is a great idea! I support this! I just love the idea of editing live with another scratcher!
PS: I am not exactly sure how the scratch team can make that happen, but I hope this can be achieved!
