Vim

FYI, vim is a text editor (think Notepad/Notepad++/Atom etc) that's well known for being ridiculously confusing it is its keyboard-only interface. I am currently trying to learn it to see if all those Vim fans are right about increased productivity rates.

What do you think?

I'm now going to use it as my main text editor. So many useful commands (for example, did you know that you could change a number at the cursor by with Ctrl+A and change it by -1 with Ctrl+X?)

The text-based interface is nice and an inconvenience, no mouse makes things slighty slower but it feels more suitable for this kind of thing.

As soon as it proves to increase my productivity, I will use it.

Protip: Remap caps lock to escape and things get a whole lot easier.

And yeah, Vim is a lot like Dvorak: some think it IS worth learning it, while some think it's a waste of time to learn it.

Well, there's the find function that's supposed to allow you to move faster…

Sometimes I do find myself using the mouse in Vim

The band or the text editor?

Anyway, the text editor looks nice, especially the shortcuts.
