Two questions:
- Will it work on Linux?
- Will I be able to have 1.4 AND 2.0 downloaded?

- Adobe AIR: You'll be lucky if it does work. Your best bet is to use Wine Windows Compatibility Layer (please no).
- Of course!

I will work still online, because there my projects are saved in a cloud, so i can acces to them anywhere, but this update makes me happy because nobody will complain anymore about the missing offline editor
And also there is one thing less with higher priority than cloud-lists

Given the fairly frequent update regime that the release of 2.0 brought out, did you plan on integrating an update checker for the offline version that notifies the user when new critical updates are available, or will the releases of the offline version be so sparse that there won't be a need?

Cool
The initial version of the Scratch 2.0 offline editor is scheduled to be released next week. Please see this thread for updates!
Anyone know if someone is working on an applet, similar to ScratchApplet.jar for Scratch 1.4, that will allow Scratch 2.0 projects to be posted to Moodle servers.

Please make sure that it also works on Linux sans wine. Otherwise I'll have to stick to version 1.4 which frustrates my students who expect the same interface at home and in class.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Beginning June 14 2011, Adobe AIR is no longer supported for desktop Linux distributions. Users can install and run AIR 2.6 and earlier applications but can't install or update to AIR 2.7. The last version to support desktop Linux distributions is AIR 2.6. AIR 2.6 is available from the AIR Archive.
Adobe Air help
Running an outdated version of AIR means leaving vulnerability holes open.
Is there any workaround for this issue?
