Two people working on one project at the same time?
This is already possible with the offline version, so long as the Scratchers take turns editing. One scratcher makes an edit, sends it to another, that one makes an edit, sends it back, and so on so forth.

I'm supporting this! I need to make a project with someone! Well, I don't need to but I want to. It would be awesome if somebody did make it so we could make something together with other Scratchers.

We want two people working on the same project at the same time, not in alternations.

I agree. This is a smart idea, in which would work especially well with the offline scratch. I totally agree with this.

Two people working on one project at the same time?
I had thought about this myself. It would be incredibly awesome for collaborating! An in-built messenger would be necessary for communication though, and the Scratch team just wouldn't allow that. A shame, really.
I multiplay games with my kid all the time: Minetest, Tanki, couple games on Kongregate.
We use Mumble to chat.
I'm on Linux, he's on Windows, so it's a good solution, ‘cuz it’s cross-platform.
I actually keep a local server running on my Linux box so we can log in and chat anytime.
There are plenty of servers on the ‘net that are free for anyone to join,
and it would be simple for the Scratch team to set up one,
tho I don’t see that happening, ‘cuz it would be tough to moderate.
There’s even an Android client he'd use so he could chat with me, while he was at his Mom's house.
——————————————————
As far as actually coding with 2 people, there are other ways around this problem.
I set up a VNC server on my kid's computer, think it was RealVNC, the free edition.
Then I log in through Remmina, which is a VNC viewer for Linux.
It has an option to just view, or actually control the mouse.
If you're on Windows, you wouldn't bother with Remmina.
Just stick with RealVNC on both PC's,
or use another package like Chrome's remote desktop.
It's ‘prolly a bit beyond what the average Scratch user is used to.
I’m just putting the info out there, so people know it's do-able.
I guess I should point out that this is a solution that you'd only do with someone you know and trust.
It's a horrible security risk to open up control of your computer to someone you don't know.
So, actually, don't do this, unless it's like my situation.
I guess it's safe if it's your kid, and you are responsible for the activity on both PC's.
——————————————————
This looks safe-ish -ScreenLeap browser share
It lets you share your screen over the ‘net. I don’t think it gives control of the mouse to the viewer,
so it might be safer that way.
It's not quite full collaboration, in that regard,
but it would still be good with the voice chat,
'cuz you can talk out what you are doing
I'd recommend that you make sure to never enable “desktop sharing”
as that would show everything on your computer.
If you keep it set to “browser share” then it would only share what's in your browser window.
They limit it to an hour a day, unless you pay for a package.
What I like about this method is that it's sandboxed to the browser.

Two people working on one project at the same time?
Anyone think it'd be nice if you could share editing rights to another scratcher and work on one project at the sam etime? I think it would be useful espessially with bigger projects. It could work sort of like google docs. Anyone agree?
I do, and I don't think there is a way to do this, but you could just keep remixing and remixing until you have the finished project. You could make your version and the other one will make his/hers and then you will compare and see which one you will start remixing with. Hope this helps!

If this is not breaking the scratch motto, then I support. Remember, the motto of scratch is “Imagine, Program, Share.”
If people abuse it, then the scratch motto would be broken. remember to share it with EVERYONE.

What if someone shares a project privately to someone else saying hurtful things. Those could be hard to moderate as there arent as many people to report it
