I've been looking on these forums to try to figure out how to download Scratch 2.0, which I need to do for a class. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

A downloadable Scratch 2.0 is currently not available

However they are working on it but we don't know when they will release it.

Did you read “READ BEFORE POSTING A QUESTION” in the stickies?

One thing that may be worth noting is that you can use the online editor pretty much as if it's an offline editor…

You don't need to have an account to use the editor, so if you are signed out, and click “Create” in the top bar, then you can use the editor's File menu to download/upload files from disk just as if it's a standalone app running on your computer.

The only part you need a 'net connection for is the initial click of that “Create” link.
