Bringing Back Top Viewed and the Comment List
Remember the What The Community is Viewing section on the front page? I can't seem to figure out why it was removed, but I'm sure I and lots of others would like to see it brought back. It was a good way to have scratchers' projects get noticed, especially ones that rarely get their projects noticed at all. Besides, lots of Scratchers nowadays only bother to view a project and not love-it or favorite the project, so that makes the Top Loved section a little more pointless, and just shows for the need of bringing back Top Viewed. Another idea is to bring back the comment list. By that, I mean the list of projects that one scratcher has commented on. Sometimes I go to a project and I only comment and forget to love-it or favorite it, so i can't watch it again, if I forget the project name. I used to be able to find it when I commented on a project, by viewing my comment list. Now that that's gone, it's harder to find projects you want to watch again, and scratchers you forgot the name of. I wanted to find my old Scratch class instructor but I forgot his username. I'd like this, in fact both these things to return to Scratch, because I think it would help me and the community a lot more.

The viewing I do not support, because someone could view their projects a ton of times just to get on the what the community is viewing.
Comment list I sem-support, because can't you just use the back arrow to go back a page or two

And also I think he is talking about something a bit more permanent. The back arrow would only work for your current session.
Anyways I think having top viewed would be a little overkill since we already have top loved/remixed. It would croud up the FP a little. I'd support just having one row with “What the Community is _____” and then have a drop down for loving, remixing, viewing, commenting(?), favoriting(?)
Also, I've always disliked how commenting works. I think it would make the community a lot better if commenting could be seen in activity feeds.

Support. The reason why it was removed is because users could easily get projects to the front page by simply clicking on the green flag many times or refreshing the project page (i think). One solution is for the project to detect what users have already viewed this. That way, the amount of viewers won't increase if the same user keeps viewing the project.

said, it would crowd up the front page. I think we are good with the top loved/remixed for now.

That doesn't happen for me. Views don't change on account of me visiting my own projects.

No support on the viewing part. Because the viewing part can be able to sometimes show inappropriate projects that are popular.

No support on the viewing part. Because the viewing part can be able to sometimes show inappropriate projects that are popular. The trending page can also be used to show inappropriate projects, and so can the top loved/remixed. I dont get what’s special about a top viewed page that would make it be able to show inappropriate projects.

It was most likely replaced by top lovedNot “replaced,” per se — I believe Top Loved and Top Viewed both existed at the same time in the early days of Scratch.
