ability to edit comments
I think that the owner of the project/profile should be able to view all the edited comments, while others can only view the original.
No… Heres why-
Hi! This project is good.
to
“Hi! This project is bad!”
everyone should see the edited verson. Maybe the owner can review the history.
Plus there is the private messaging issue… Which I think would be rare…

ability to edit comments
I think everyone above has already said the risks about trolls editing comments. This is a very good point. To do it right, there really should be an “edit history” kept of the comments and some way for the moderators to view them. It would be a pretty big change to our systems. …
However, I would like to point this out from the technical perspective. If we want to make this abuse-proof (or at least abuse-resistant), we need to have a system to store edit histories. That would be complicated to implement, for relatively little benefit.
I agree with @Paddle2See and @jvvg.
Support if there is a history of edits that only the ST can see.

someone could spam report so they couldn't edit. and just like on the forums, the st can see the original post (before edited) so why not? That make a LOT of sense! However if you post something you regret you can edit it. If someone reports a comment they should not be allowed to edit. Thanks so much or explaining, and yes, Now there is more possibility for bullyingNo support
Before editingThis project is dumb!
After editingThis project is neat!
Thank you for replying to my forum quickly.
I don't quite understand what you mean, could you please explain?
again thanks for your feedback!
Explanation:
1. Troll comments on someone's project, “This project is dumb!”
2. Owner of project sees the comment, but does not report it, because he's new and does not know what to do. But he is now feeling bad.
3. Troll edits his comment to “This project is neat!”
4. Other peoples sees this comment as a nice comment, however, in reality, this comment was used to bully someone.
5. The Scratch Team does not know anything about this, and the troll escapes freely, successfully bullying someone without getting caught.

People have bullied on forums. How come you can edit on forums? It's a convenience here. I support editing comments if there is a log for it and a 30 minute rule.
I think that the owner of the project/profile should be able to view all the edited comments, while others can only view the original.Support for these.
