Basically, you're like working in a gaming magazine, making your own reviews for games you've played.

Example:

Yoshi's Woolly World 84 / 100 (Decent)

This game is absolutely charming and fun to play. It's gameplay is somewhat similar to the Yoshi's Island series, with a lot of new features added, like co-op multiplayer or character customisation. It's only downside which is a little too problematic, is that searching for collectibles will take away most of your time, and you'll even need to replay some of the long, long levels in order to complete it 100%. The collectibles are unfortunately really cunningly hidden.

Although this topic is opinion-based, I would advise you not to post too negative reviews, as it could lead to many arguments and debates, and disappointment. Also, try not to post spoilers in your reviews.

EarthBound - Don't Have A Full Rating Yet But It'll Be Here Soon/100

This game, so far, is nice. It's challenging (And boring BECAUSE SEMI-CUTSCENE HEAVY) in the beginning but slowly gets easier and more enjoyable. It's a semi-relaxing game about growing up and experiencing the world. Normal plot (For a game like this, it's normal-ish.), quirky characters, interesting enemies and overall just good. It's a RPG with real life aspects that may or may not end up being the only game you play for a while until you complete it 100%. I'm not trying to give any spoilers here but when you start the game, you need to grind a lot. Level 6-8 is a good range.

They say that a criticism is bad when it comes too late. But meh.

Punch-Out!! - Nintendo Wii, 2009, Next Level Games

Score: 8/10. I don't see the need to score out of 100 unless it's an aggregate site.

I'm going to put in pros and cons because I'm too lazy to write an actual review:

Pros:
+ Solid gameplay, with elements from both the NES and the SNES games thrown in.
+ The same characters you know and love from the previous games, but with more detail in both design and personality.
+ The practice mode is a very nice feature for helping you get used to your opponent without the risk of getting KO'd (though it would have been a bit neater if it showed you how much damage it would do to you when you're actually in the ring).
+ You'll find it hard to argue with how they arranged the characters in each circuit.
+ Title Defense is a pretty fun addition, and probably the only mode that made me think that Glass Joe was harder than Mr. Sandman.
+ Mac's Last Stand looks interesting.
+ DONKEY KONG
+ They made the characters actually speak their home language (except for Aran Ryan, but many people in Dublin don't actually speak Gaelic) which is a very nice touch.
+ Speaking of the characters, who are probably one of the highlights of the series, they made a very good decision on which characters to keep and which to abandon.
Cons:
- The multiplayer mode, while not bad, isn't great.
- Doc Louis' personality revolves around two things: talking awkwardly and chocolate.

Overall, I recommend that any Nintendo fan that comes across this game should try it out. Except if you're a hardcore, armed-to-the-teeth Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! purist (only the Mike Tyson version) who thinks every other game in the series is pure garbage, in which case, get as far away from my face as possible.

Hi guys,

Here is my first go at writing mini reviews for games. I'll start with a riddler, because I'm really into them at the moment!

There are lots of riddle apps for mobiles, and alot of them are very similar. Little Riddles (by Juxta Labs) probably stands out the most because it has so many riddles. Currently there are over 600 included which means you find much more than just the same old riddles copied from the other apps. A good example of one of the better riddles is “Where Everyone Wants To Run Home And Stealing Is Encouraged.”… can you guess it?

The graphics are very basic, but the usability is good, I'd probably rate this about 7/10 overall but maybe closer to 9 compared to the quality of other riddle games.

It's available on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.juxtalabs.riddles and iTunes, and if you get stuck on any App Help guru has the Little Riddles answers.

Hopefully I'll add a new review every week or so!

Matt

I guess I'll give this a go

The Sims 2 Pets, for the DS
Score: 32/100

Similarly to most Sims games on the DS, The Sims 2 Pets is not like the original.
In the game you play as a vet and… well, that's pretty much it. you just have to work your way up the career and live while treating people's pets for various problems.
Gameplay wise, the game is a tad awkward. A lot of things are more complicated than they need to be (like cooking, for example) and it makes other aspects of the game seem too easy in comparison. Otherwise, the game is quite easy- treat the pet and earn money.
The main flaw with this game is the graphics. Compared to other games on the DS, they are terrible. The faces are plain and expressionless with no movement, and everything else is pretty much a block. Compared to the art on the box, it's quite a let-down.
Overall, the game is just kind of… meh. it's not something that I'd recommend playing seriously.

Bumpity bump, Bumpity bump, look at My mom Frosty go…

WIPEOUT!!!!!!!

46/100

When you first boot it up, you get a cgi cutscene of fat people getting heavily beaten and traumatized by the show's obstacles. the cg is on par with those ugly cg nick shows nowadays (think ALVIN!!!!!). The game starts up, and you get to join a show-but not before you pick your character. ALWAYS pick the heavy ones, low speed and high strength. speed barely is required, leaving UNBALANCED CHARACTERS. You get an intro to the stage, featuring the gross early-PS2/late N64 corpes known as our Hosts. They look UGLY. after suffering through not puking, You get to play, with the upchuck stick to move, and A to jump. That's it. easy to pick up, but the controls are so Floaty. holy schmickles (did u get the reference?) I fell a lot. the humor is… stale. i'ts always just. meh. Nothing isn't great. it's all Mediocre. While the game's rag doll physics are funny at times, this game is incredibly glitchy. you have to restart your wii if you throw a suitcase at the other players during a level in medium.

Yep. It seems like the kind of game you would rent for a party. You can get at most 4 hours out of it.

It's been a long time since anyone posted here. Anyways, I'm back and with a new review for a new game.

Mini Mario and Friends: amiibo Challenge 64/100 (Tolerable)

If you have approximately 5 amiibos from the Mario series standing atop your fancy pine table from IKEA, then I would probably recommend this game to you. I say “probably” because this game isn't great. It's not too bad either, I mean, how can you dislike a game with the cute black beady eyes of a small wind-up Mario or Yoshi toy staring at you? It makes you feel guilty for not playing the game. Come on, it's even a free download. But if you were to complete it 100% it would possibly cost you about 150 dollars, depending on the price of the amiibos that are required to play it. Nothing is free in this world, I suppose, so don't get too excited, you amiibo-less gamers. So yeah, enough talking about money, onto the content of the game. It's just your generic Mario vs. Donkey Kong puzzle platformer, only this time the different amiibo-powered Minis have abilities of their own, which allow them to complete levels in bizarre and spectacular ways. Bowser, for example, has a mean Ground Pound that smashes Grey Bricks, Yoshi can digest enemies, while Mini Spek, the only Mini that doesn't require an amiibo of a Mario character, has no ability at all, the poor thing. Gameplay-wise, I think this game definitely deserves a go for its fun, not-too-challenging-yet-not-too-simple puzzles. Yet one thing about this game that really irks me is the lack of a proper in-game level editor, in my opinion, the main attraction of all the M vs. DK games (aside from the first one). This definitely takes away 20 points from this game's score. Maybe it'll eventually arrive in an update, let's sellotape all our fingers in a cross-like position for that.

Here is my review for the indie farming simulator, Stardew Valley.

Price: $14.99
Developer: ConcernedApe
Publisher: ChuckleFish
Platform: PC
94/100 (Fantastic)

Story: The great thing is the game doesn't start off like all harvest moon games (It's not a harvest moon game, but it is inspired by them) It doesn't start off with, “oh your dad died or something so now you have a farm.” It starts with you watching your grandfather die. That's right. DIE. He hands you a letter and tells you only to open it when the burden of modern life becomes to hard. (he actually said something similar to that) Flashfoward 20 years, and you are working for the mega company Joja. You feel the burden of modern life, and decide to open grandpas letter, to find out it is the deed to a farm. So you go off to live your new life in Stardew valley.

Graphics: The game only has 16-bit graphics, but it goes absolutely perfect with the game.

Music: The music. Oh the MUSIC. The music sounds like it's been ripped from a harvest moon game, and then made better. It sounds great, and differs season to season. Each season has it's own unique track, and they all sound great.

Gameplay: There is a ton of gameplay in Stardew Valley, so I'll divide into the three main parts.

Farming: Now, this is obviously the main point of the game. It's very simple, yet it just felt new and fresh! you plant seeds and water them every day until you harvest them. Sounds boring right? Well you can also raise animals, extract sap from trees, get honey from wild bees, and forage for food. (So much stuff) There is also even a bit of strategy involved, because your crops wither on the first day of each season, so you have to now when to plant them.

Mining: you mine rocks and sometimes get ore from them. You can donate some things you find in the mine to the museum, and get rewards! There is even combat. Yes, you read right, Combat. The combat in Stardew Valley is actually really nice! It plays well, and never makes you feel like you're over-powered. Just be careful not to get TOO badly injured.

Fishing: Don't come in expecting yet another mashing button fishing “minigame”. This is actually a very fun, sometimes quite challenging minigame. You have to make sure the fish stays within the green bar, while you click and hold the mouse to make the green bar go up, and let go to make it go down.

There is a whole lot more in Stardew Valley, like festivals, dating, decorating your house, and cooking. It is easily worth $15.

Or instead of bumping I could write an actual review.

Title: Portal
Price: $9.99
Developer: Valve
Publisher: Valve
Platform: PC/Mac
80/100 (Great)

Story: You wake up on some sort of pod inside a test chamber. You are soon after greeted by the robot antagonist, GLADoS. Going through several test chambers, you quickly realize that something odd is going on behind the scenes…

Presentation: The graphics are good. They may not be the best, but they really help to immerse you and make you feel as though you're actually going through these test chambers. There isn't much music, but the tracks that are there are really good. The credits song? It blew me away. It is funny, catchy, and it almost feels a little sad at the same time.

Gameplay: This is definitely where the game excels. You solve puzzles using your portal gun, by shooting orange and blue portals. Everything feels natural, but I did struggle with the camera sometimes.

Lasting Appeal: This is where the game kind of falls flat on it's face. There are 19 chambers, along with a couple more levels, and a boss fight. There are also advanced chambers (These are REALLY HARD ) And challenge stages, where you have to finish test chambers in the least time, steps, or portals. Remember in the story part when I said you quickly found out there was something odd going on? Because the game goes by really fast. You can probably finish it in two hours tops.

Verdict: Is Portal worth the $9.99? Meh… If it looks really fun, and you don't want to wait for a sale (like me), then go ahead. Otherwise, just wait until it's on sale. Still, Portal is a super fun, mind-bending game to add to your steam library.

Two plus two is ten. IN BASE FOUR! I'M FINE!

Undertale
Price: $9.99
Developer: Toby Fox
Publisher: Toby Fox
Rating: TEM OUTTA TEM
Story: There once lived two races: HUMANS and MONSTERS. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with their magic. Many years later, a child tries to find refuge from the rain. The child goes to a cave in Mt. Ebott, falling down the barrier. Legend says that those who go to Mt. Ebott never return. The child makes friends along the way, and some enemies.
Lasting Appeal: You can play the game 3 different ways: Spare everyone, kill everyone, spare some and kill some. The soundtrack is AWESOME, the characters are great, and the game is somewhat Earthbound-esque.
Verdict:
Undertale gets a 9/10. I'm not giving it 10/10 due to *ahem* The final boss possibly scaring some people. You can now yell at me because I didn't give it 10/10.

I don't know why I love writing video game reviews so much. Maybe I just like my voice to be heard, I don't know. I guess since Uncharted 4 is coming out today, I'll do a review on the first Uncharted game.

Title: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Price: Originally it was $59.99, but you can get it now for about $13.00 or the Nathan Drake collection, which includes the first three games, for $39.99
Release date: November 19th, 2007
Developer: Naughty Dog
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Platform: PS3 (However, I have the Nathan Drake collection for PS4, so I'll be reviewing based on that. I'm sorry if there is anything not on the PS4 that was on the PS3.)
90/100 (Fantastic)

Story: The game starts off with the protagonist, opening a coffin of his ancestor, Sir Francis Drake. Very soon, Nathan Drake, and a journalist who accompanied him, Elana, are attacked by pirates. They are eventually saved by Drake's long time friend, Sully, and find out that Francis Drake was on a search for El Dorado, and so our heroes search for El Dorado as well.

Presentation: The graphics are stunning. They were even great on the PS3, but are taken up a notch on the PS4. The music is great as well, and comes in at just the right moments. Also, the camera in this game is impeccable.

Gameplay: This game is a mix of third-person shooter, 3D platformer, and Puzzle. You wouldn't think they would go together, but they blend so perfectly. Just had a combat sequence? You're probably about to platform or do some puzzles. Just used your brain? Get ready to pull out your gun.

Lasting Appeal: There is actually quite a bit of replayability. You can re-play the game on higher difficulties, hunt for treasures, get a ton of unlockables, get all the achievments, and basically just complete it. I guess i could've said the same for Portal (See last review), but I felt that replaying uncharted was just more enjoyable.

Verdict: If you have a PS3, pick this game up, and I ensure you will have a good time. Even better, if you have a PS4, get the collection. it's so much fun.

I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this, considering how big of a following this game has and how old most of them are, but it doesn't hurt to say your own opinion, does it? Oh well, here goes.

Game: Five Nights at Freddies
Creator: Scott Cawthorn
Price: Close to 10 AUD on Steam

Let's keep this short:
Despite enjoying the concept of the game, I just didn't find this game to be my cup of tea. It says that it is a horror game, but I didn't find the characters scary. At first glance, I certainly was spooked, but after playing it for a while, I didn't flinch. I just found this game to be repetitive after playing it for a long time. The franchise certainly has taken off, with the creator making up to 4 sequels and a failed RPG. Don't get me started on SOME of the fanbase. TBH, I just don't see how this appeals to this community.

Rating:5/10

Please respect my opinion, as we are all entitled to one.
Don't waste your time disproving what I believe.

God bless.

Another day, another review.

Title: Robocraft
Developer: Freejam
Publisher: Freejam
Release Date: July 8th, 2014
Price: Free
Platform: PC/Mac
64/100 (OK)

Story: There is no story involved with this game.

Presentation: The graphics are pretty good. I mean they're not really anything to write home about. The music isn't really anything memorable either.

Gameplay: The gameplay consists of building robots, and fighting them in an arena. There are 6 different game modes, with the 6th being one to unlock. The game was quite boring, because you needed to level up to get new parts, but with the update and loot crates that you get after every match, it spices things up a bit with you constantly being able to build new robots. HOWEVER. To do a lot of things, you have to pay for membership, making a sort of pay to win game.

Lasting Appeal: There is quite a bit of replayability. Unfortunately, if you don't really like building robots, then you won't find much fun here.

Verdict: Honestly, my little brother (@ironman50) loves this game and would probably give it a much higher score. In fact, IMO, i feel like this game is more for younger kids. I found some fun, but not too much. Maybe just download it, and see if you like it. You can always delete it!

P.S. I am sorry this was such a short review.
