Oops, my siggy was done in inkscape. I'll find some later
Pros:
Don't have to download Inkscape/gimp/etc.
Don't have to import
Easy to use
More pretty thumbnails
Cons:
none

Well, there's more to art than text patterns…?

Reasons why I like Inkscape:
  • Dedicated program, not just an integrated feature in another program
  • You can manipulate lines very easily
  • Export feature
  • Good ol' Ctrl+Shift+C!
  • Perspective tool?
Good luck putting perspective tool into Scratch…

BUMP, and btw, why don't we just remove either bitmap or vector from the paint editor is basically what you are saying.

Strawman alert!

I only said that the more complex features for the Scratch editor would be hard to implement.

BTW, where's your Scratch-made art? Or is it all in Inkscape?

First, credit to all the people who made these:

Where does it say that mini-macaron made the art in Scratch?

Karebear never said anything about making art in Scratch.

I found the art from them. The art was the thing they used in their games

Because:
karebear: I can easily edit the text, and can't you tell
mini-macaron: said it somewhere, it think notes and credits in a project
icecreamgirl: drawing tutorial said so

Karebear could've added the text later…

On the other hand, I would like you to make some good Scratch art… They probably would've done it much faster with a dedicated drawing program…

Yeah, but the art is totally made from vector. ANd, I am not the best at art. Um, could we go back to the topic

Well, Scratch was not meant to be a drawing program…?

And yeah, that versus this, made in Inkscape.

Then why do we even have gradients. Those are making art FANCY

Gradients are a very basic way to “spice up” art. On the other hand, text patterns are not…

They are basic.
1. Select a font (and propsing a bubble letter font too)
2. Fill in with the bucket with the multiple colors in gradients thing i suggested, or use the normal gradients.
Easy huh?
