Possible Solutions for the Problem of "ADD EVERYTHING" Studios
i was talking about projectshow about this:I'm sorry, but I don't see what that solves in terms of the AE studios… although I have noticed that the problem of AE studios has majorly increased since 2.0 because of curatorships so you may have something there.
1 projects are curated like studios 1st curator is moderator
2 curator request must be accepted by moderator (not curators for spam problems)
3 moderator can turn off ability for others to add project to studios
But what if a curator is leaving Scratch and wants to carry on the studio and so wants to make someone else what you call a moderator.

so projects can only be added if it is not locked by moderator or if they are curator or moderator.
if someone is leaving a curator becomes new moderator. if no curators it is left unlocked until request to curate comes.

Very good arguments, very good post. In fact, it should be stickyed for farther discussion.
I like your solutions. Meaning you can add me to your list.
I don't really care much about Add-Everything studios, because they're everywhere. You can add my project, but you can't make me care. They're a tad annoying, but I honestly don't feel like studios are important enough for me to care that much about. Still, they'd carry more weight if everyone tried to use only original ideas for them. I have my own studios, but as you can see, none of them are for mindlessly adding. They serve at least a small purpose. So really, I'd like it if the solutions you suggest are implemented, but it won't affect me much if they aren't.
One note- that list from the wiki is ridiculously short. I'm sure there are numerous other uses, I just can't think of any right now.

Possible Solutions for the Problem of "ADD EVERYTHING" Studios
my greatest problem with “add everything” studios is that they are drowning out the legitimate studios my friends and I have been cultivating over the course of some years.

how about this:
a person will set how active they are.
active: will always be asked
less active:will notify friend before asking user.
inactive: will never ask

I like the idea of letting scratchers decide which studios show up on the side of their projects. I don't, however, think it is a good idea to try and ban these studios from happening at all. I think that trying to ban these studios would impair the rights of Scratchers. By choosing which studios show up, it discourages the studios without outright banning them. You also have to remember that a lot of these studios are probably by little kids that think it will be fun.

The problem is that you create this amazing project, and it's just randomly put into an AE studio, so it appears as just another project. It really frustrates me.

I support too
A notification and the 1.4 ability to remove your projects from studios would give users the ability to keep their own projects out of ae studios
Being able to order the studios your projects show in could also be useful
I also had another idea, much like they do in Newgrounds, when you search for something the spam, or in this case ae, would be auto de ticked, and you would only see the spam/ ae studios if you re ticked it. That basic filter could apply to studio's listed on projects or from the search bar.
Now how do you know if a studio is an AE?
Possibly by counting it as an AE simply if loads of projects get added that have a huge variety of different tags, and when loads of projects get added not just once but repeatedly, though many projects have no tags so that may be entirely foolproof. It could be probably be quite effective though.
Most non ae studios gain far fewer projects in the same time span. Tag based filtered could be less prominent in the server deciding if the studio is an ae.

What if we do something like the forums? You can only add a project to your studio every 3 minutes beacuse if you are making a legit not ae studio, it should take you at least a couple minutes to find another project that could go in your studio. This would not completely stop the ae studios, but it would make the concept of making ae studios less appealing.
