Um, then contact @Zykon (the not-so-active person who took the GC job).

ORRRR you could make a new account (I would suggest @T.S.W.Reformed, but hey, do whatever you want. I don't have a main job.) and contact everyone on the list of jobs (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/36129392/). And then go on from there.

Journalist Application for the Scratch Weekly Newspaper

I am a budding writer and would love a job as a journalist for the Scratch Weekly. If you could consider my request, here are my following skills:

1 - Writing Fluently and towards a deadline
2 - Researching the activity of Scratchers
3 - Coding various special effects and engines for articles (I mean, if it's on Scratch, why not utilize the programming language?)

Just kidding, ClassicRampage has moved @Cinematic-, where he will be working on Scratch Story mode and continue his amazing works.
