No, you can't do that. Ask a Scratch Team Member to do this for you.

We all make mistakes sometimes without thinking about it. I hope they allow you to change it! However it might be easier to transfer your account data into a new account (project ownership and stuff). However I don't know anything about how the website woks

I was going to report you at first, but when I saw what a nice guy you are I just couldn't.


I think you're best bet would be to create a new account, download all your projects, keep a record of everyone your following and your love/faves, reply to all comments and tell your followers and people who loved and favorited your project(s) that you're not going to use this account anymore, so they'll need to contact you at @[new username]. When everyone knows, you can go to the contact us page and ask for your account to be deleted. It's sort of like moving into a new home. You pack all your stuff (download your projects), say goodbye to your friends (tell your followers you're going to a new account), tell them to visit you (give the link to your new account)…

It's impossible to change your username, but you can always make a new account and carry over your projects.

Also, try not to make the forum titles very very very very very annoying if you know what I mean.

“I hate you” is an unnice thing to say. Having that as your username would make this person seem like an unnice person, as “I hate you” is broadcasted to anyone who reads her/his username.

“PuppyKicker” would make them seem like not a nice person. Names aren't usually phrases directed at the read and as such why would there be any misunderstanding?

Not really. If the name described the person as something unpleasant (such as the aforementioned example!) then I'd understand. Maybe I'd even understand if their username was “I hate you”. But it isn't, it's “Mr_I_HateYou”. Angsty, maybe, but one would surely have to have serious issues with reading comprehension to interpret it as a personal attack.

Don't make yourself like that. I know how anything feels, like people in their time being. You can just say, “my name is not going to be this, it will be ____________________.” So then they'll understand.
