GUYS, I HAVE TO TELL YOU THIS.

It may not seem like much, and you'se probably have done it before, but I CAUGHT KYOGRE ONLY USING AN ULTRA BALL. It is a big deal, since I've saved my Master Ball for a BIGGER, and even BETTER Pokemon like Deoxys or Rayquaza (Who also has a Mega Evolution.)
You can catch Rayquaza with a Pokeball at 50% health. The catch rate is WAY higher than in previous games (since catching Rayquaza is required to advance in the storyline).

I'd Master ball Deoxys though. I try to never use my Master ball, but Deoxys was way too difficult to catch in any other ball.
Nah, Deoxys is no harder than the Lake Guardians. Here's the strategy:
1) Quick Ball on turn 1
1.5) If you want to get it to low HP, do so.
2) Send out Sableye. It can be level one if you so choose
3) If not at tenth turn, use Dusk Balls (Fallarbor Town) or Ultra Balls
4) 10th turn on: Timer Balls (Rustboro City)*
Every 10 turns use 1 Dusk/Ultra ball

Don't worry about Deoxys attacking; it can't hurt you since Dark is immune to Psychic and Ghost is immune to Normal (it has Hyper Beam and Psycho something or other, then 2 status moves).
–––––––––––
I'm saving my Master Ball for the day I finally get a Rough Skin Garchomp. That is gonna be FUUUUNN.
Why, you ask?
Because it's in Route 111 SAND (have you ever tried chaining in sand? It is a TOTAL PAIN. As in, my max chain was 4. AHHHH), it's a hidden pokemon, and I'm looking for its HIDDEN ABILITY :I
Ah, thanks. I've already used my Master ball though, but it's not a problem since I've caught many other legendaries with ease.
Sableye is a god when it comes to this stuff. XD
And yes, I caught all 3 lake guardians with a level 1 wonder traded sableye XDDD

Cuz its a Dark Ghost type and for some reason a lot of legendaries are psychic (at least in oars). IDK
Although I suppose Shedinja does have quite a bit utility.

It shouldn't be.
Crit captures should work often.

I've used a Timer ball (after 20 turns) on Uxie at red HP, sleep, and critical capture, but it still broke out. Legendaries have very low catch rates.

I do spam… and that's why I still can catch legendaries.

And status increases you odds by 1.5x or 2x. So yes, I need them.

But one Quick ball with critical capture is not likely to capture a legendary.

Without status and since I have tons of post game cash I was able to catch all lake guardians and Palkia each in less than 10 balls.

i had to kill groundon/kyogre because i couldn't catch it

But someone has caught Groundon on their second Pokeball before, so its possible, just unlikely i guess but i caught deoxys in an ultra ball and
RAYQUAZA HAS A HIGHER CATCH RATE THEN EMELRALD'S RAYQUAZA BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO CATCH IT IN ORDER TO PROGRESS IN THE GAME, IF YOU KILL IT YOU RESTART SO ITS BASICALLY POSSIBLE TO CATCH IT IN A QUICK BALL, FIRST TURN

yeah sorry for that

I'd say no, but this is coming from a person who immediately tried to get rid of it as soon as he got it. Apparently, it's a special Pokémon.

I like it because I can dress it up like a scientist.
Why? Reasons.

IKR its just sitting in my pc. I suppose I could pokerus it.

But it does make sense that you can't trade it:
If you could, then you could have a more than one of them each with a different costume, which would be pretty strong since you could, for instance, have a draining kiss pikachu vs dragon types and their normal anti-ice and/or anti-fairy moves would not be super effective. Just think about that.
