It will only work on windows. So Windows 7 works. Make sure you run the extension as an Administrator, are you seeing any errors from the extension when you run it? It's an http extension so works with the offline editor.

1 Question: How do I change gender?

The extension uses the built in windows voice. It just reports the gender. To change you'd have to change it in the control panel.

I'll just list the questions I have.
1. What would I type for changing gender?
2. Can I have 2 or more sprites talk at the same time?
3. Can I have 2 or more sprites with different genders?

1. Don't understand the question. The gender can only be changed by changing the voice from the control panel. Windows usually comes with one voice but you can buy others.
2. Good question. Probably not at the same time but am unsure. I will try it when I get some time.
3. No. You can only set one voice in the control panel.


Just tried 2 and the speak requests get queued in the order they are received so you won't get speech happening at the same time but it will happen sequentially.

That's probably just the OS kicking in because it's from an unknown dev.

The code is on github so you can build it yourself. Is this something from your AV software? I expect it's a false positive although no one else has reported it. What are you basing the “malicious” software warning on?

Use the offline editor and shift click the file menu to see the import extension menu item.

Sorry but it uses a Microsoft text to speech convertor and so is Windows only. If there is a Linux equivalent then the source is on github and so could be modified and run under mono potentially.
