Another use is that you can make one project controlled by another, or make multiplayer games on two different projects.

It's complex, but it's an interesting idea, because I see in your idea the ability to LINK projects.
In this case, you could create many levels for a game, if a user completed a level, he could go to another one, opening another project with the good variable loaded inside.

Here's the problem I see:

When I post a suggestion, most of the time it gets showered with tons of support. All these people want the feature, but how the heck is this going to end up in scratch? I mean, the scratch team has to know about it. Maybe after a few more supporters we could contact them?

I agree! I does not really make sence, if we just suggest stuff but it never gets added. Millions of support, but what can you do with that? Its the ST's that deside if its good or not!
