mouse as a sprite
With scratch you can create many amazing things, but. you can't change what the mouse looks like. so what about if the scratch team added this block:
supporters:
umbear
CosmicHamster (semi supports)
Epicness123
and maybe so it could show and hide to:
wouldn't that help? if you think it would reply to this topic

Do you mean that you can create costumes for the mouse like you can with sprites? If so, then how would you create them? Would the mouse pointer become a sprite? I think it would be better to be able to hide and show the mouse so that you can create your own pointers on a sprite and make it go to the mouse pointer forever. But I semi-support, because I think that it would be awesome to change how the mouser pointer looks for a project, but some troll could make the mouse costume blank so that you can't see where your mouse is.

Well, no support, because some project might say
People would get confused, and if you wanted to, create a sprite that always goes to your mouse cursor.

Anyways, support for being able to make the mouse disappear with these-
But no support for making the mouse a sprite. Just create your own sprite and use this-

Also, perhaps there could be a warning while the project is loading (like the one for the username block), something like-
This project can make the mouse invisible using the “show/hide mouse” blocks. To make the mouse re-appear, press the “esc” key at any time.

What's the utility of this thing you posted? It is a necropost. idk
___
Support, it's useful when you are making buttons and you want the mouse to change to a hand for example. Or even when you are making 3D games and you don't want your mouse to show.

Wow, sorry, I realize this is a necropost and should be locked or something, but I just randomly logged on today for the first time in over a year. It's amazing I made this thread 3 years ago. (I still quite like this idea haha, it's a shame it was never added.)
