What are your favourite record labels (I.E: Polydor, EMI etc. etc.)

My favourite record label has to be Ed Banger Records. Whilst I like OWSLA, I love how fresh and funky Ed Banger always is. In case you didnt know, they're the record label that host Justice and Mr. Oizo, which are two of my favourite artists.

Anything except EMI. They removed most of the videos of my favorite band when the uploaders weren't even making money off of it. According to the law, THAT'S OK!

Geez, “Fair Use” does not imply “If you don't make money have fun”, but to be honest, I'm not sure where you got such a ridiculous idea even if you are basing this off of fair law. Piracy of stuff isn't automatically okay because the people never make money off of it.

In fact, you using YouTube to view their music is a classic example of why it isn't. That's your favorite band not gaining the money they would have obtained had you seeked out moral means of listening to their music by purchasing it.

Fair Use has some fairly fuzzy cases, but generally, it's safer to assume something is NOT fair use than assume that you can automatically do anything if you make no money.

I don't really pay attention to the record labels ^_^

Yeah, I'm not a particular fan of them (directly that is). A no-profit deadmau5 channel called mau5traxx was recently attacked by EMI, who (not even on the side of deadmau5) blocked nearly everything from my country. Even the unreleased stuff.

EMI/Virgin has released most of deadmau5's discography outside of the US/Canada, so they do have the legal right to do that.

I wondered why Mau5traxx stopped putting stuff up. Now I know.

Oh, and my favorite label is easily DRUMCODE! Octopus Recordings is a close second, though.

Probably Elysian records. It's got some great EDM artists

Columbia (CAUSE MADEON/DAFT PUNK) OWLSA (Because SKRILL/KOAN SOUND/PORTER ROBINSON) and pop-cultur (cause madeon's sake.)

Future Classic because I am a Hipster® Lite. (And Spirit Level, just for being owned by Gotye and that Double J host dude.)

Wow this is an old thread!

Dischord records, Asian Man, and Plan-it X are my favorite/most nostalgic. Personally have known a few people and good memories involved with them and still like some of the music released on the labels
