If you comment automodmute it will mute you but can you get banned for saying it?

Knightbot63

Most likely ST will look at why they're banned. If it's just you commenting that tons of times, they may just unban the user.

You will not be automatically banned for being muted, no matter how many times. However, the Scratch Team may issue an alert if they determine you are wasting their resources by intentionally triggering the filter, and if you continue to do so they may ban you. While you won't automatically get banned, the Scratch Team may take action against you if you're wasting their time.

I don't understand how the phrase “automodmute” is inappropriate or breaks the Scratch CG in any way. As long as you don't spam it, I think it's okay.

It's a phrase used to test the filter. It's not inappropriate.

However, the Scratch Team gets an alert every time someone triggers the filter, and seeing people intentionally trigger it just to play around is a waste of their time and they may take action against users who do that.

So, you say “automodmute” to get muted purposefully? Fascinating.

It's something the moderators use to make sure that the filter is working. They're asking if you can get banned from it, not just muted.

Goldensun_Silverdrop

Okay! To answer that question, probably not unless it is spammed over and over.
