Hey campers! We're so excited for BBBB to start this Monday, February 15! Please read the information below to prepare.

What do I do each day?

• Each day, one of the mentors will post the day's theme. In the day's post, there will be some questions to get your creative juices flowing, some inspiration banners from mentors and BBBB alums, some exemplary banners from the day before (Tuesday-Friday), and some notes from us mentors.
  
• Once you read the day's post, you can make your banner! Try to think outside of the box, and be creative.
  
• After you finish your banner for the day, post a link to it (Scratch project, Canva link, Cubeupload link, etc.) in the mentoring hub, replying to the comment that your mentor has left specifically for you. Please don't post it on this thread - with 20 campers, that can get crazy quickly!
  
• Your mentor will provide feedback for you in the mentoring hub. They'll tell you about the good things about your banner, and one to two things that you could improve on in the future. You do not have to remake your banner after you get your feedback! Just take these into account when making the next day's banner.

What should I do right now?
Before we start, please make sure that you have done/are doing these things:

• You are following the topic: the themes will come out here and you don't want to miss them!
  
• You are curating the mentoring studio: this is where your feedback will be found so its super important to make sure you are there. If you aren't, ask Lola, clove or another mentor and we will add you.
  
• You have made sure that you know who your mentor is. This is the person you'll be coming to for questions, feedback, support and all-round anything you need during camp. Their profile comments will be open for your questions throughout camp.
  
• You should let your mentor know about any days that you will definitely be out of camp so they can spend that time with other campers instead of waiting for you. If you can't, that completely fine!
  
  Other things to do, not necessary but useful, are:
  
• You have spoken to your campmates in the camp hangout and made some new friends.
  
• If you have a nickname that you'd prefer to be called than you username (like LotusLavender being called Lola), let your mentors know and they will note it on the list.
  
• You have looked for a “banner buddy” around your level for peer assessment (partner marking) during camp and some extra encouragement. If you post a few of your banners on clove's profile, she can try and help you find someone around your level.

You can use any program to make and upload your banner but I suggest canva (design) and cubeupload (hosting), both free. You could also use a project to show us your banners and post the link here instead of an image host. Other design options include the scratch vector editor, microsoft paint, BeFunky and even PowerPoint (with the dimensions of a banner for the slide size).

Notes:

• The banner size that we recommend is 2480 x 520 pixels, a soundcloud banner size - that's what most of the mentors use!
  
• If cubeupload is blocked for you, don't worry. You can always post a different kind of link to get your feedback!
  
• You will find the mentoring groups and time zone conversion chart in posts after this one (in the next half hour at the most!) - please read those too!

Time zones are quite confusing so please don't take offense if I converted something wrong! I went off of what was put on profiles for location, but there were a few in Antarctica so I wasn't sure where you actually were. The theme will be posted at approximately 10:00 PM EST (NYC time) so you can convert off of that.
