Squiggly, Official Topic

This is the official topic for my newest collaboration, Squigles. This is where the work gets done, and all the information is stored.
What is Squiggly?
Squiggly, is a pen engine system. It uses pen for everything you see on screen, and has text as well as circles and much more. To demonstrate, the Squiggly project will be a note-pad with multiple fonts and drawing tools. When done, you can save your image into a compact save-code, and then you can share your drawings and/or notes with the world.
What is a Pen Engine?
a pen engine is something that uses the pen to draw things on the screen, instead of costumes. This project is going to be mostly pen (except the layout) and is going to feature the engine in the creation.

Dino: I need you to start off by making a basic font engine. This will have the letters for each font. To start, create a custom block with the letter either capitalized or not capitalized with 2 input () holes named X and Y. then use the go to X: Y: for any straight lines and a Move _ steps and a turn ___ degrees for turns. If you want, add a size function. Take your time, only 2 letters (both uppercase and lowercase) are needed each week. If that isn't the kind of thing you do, then let me know.

TheGlassPenguin: I need you to make a starting screen. It will have 4 buttons, one that says ‘create’, one that says ‘help’, one that says ‘load’ and one that says ‘credits’. If you press any one of them, the other buttons shrink, while spinning, and the one you selected moves up to the top of the screen, and once it hits the top it changes the background to a background of your choice. None of the graphics will be final, we just need the coding for now.

Ninja_666: I need you to create a pen circle/square creator with a ton of different settings, such as thickness, size, position, maybe height and length for square, height and length for the circle, and more. Let me know once you are done

z: You can start making the pen tool. It needs to have tools to make the color you want, which you can choose what it should look like. If you finish, I also need a pen smoothing tool which when you draw with it makes all sharp corners smooth and round.

This is where all the parts of the projects are recorded to see progression. The categories are underlined, and the sub-categories are in bold. Green means the part needs the previous task to start development and blue means we can't start it until another part is completed (I will remove the color tags once the required part is done)

Applications

Interested in applying? Read below for details on how to get in, as well as what jobs you might have.
Note: The requirements aren't required, but the more boxes you check, the higher the chance you have of getting in.

Job description

Here are some of the jobs, and their descriptions:
Designer (3)
This job is for designing the looks of the Notepad once we get to that part. This is a small job, and you won't be needed often, but you will do most of the things that people can see on the project.
Hours of contribution required weekly: 1/2
How active user must be: any
How often do they have to check the topic: once a day. There will be an announcements page for them to check and get any new information.
Managing (2+)
This job is to manage the work, and notify users about this. It's pretty self explanatory.
Hours of contribution required weekly: 1-5
How active the user must be: The more the better.
How often do they have to check the topic: 50-500 times a week, depending on the duties they hold.
Tester (2)
There are 2 kinds of testers, one of them is a singular tester, and the other one is a regular tester. The singular tester tests finished parts, such as the shape tools, while the regular tester tests every project shared by coders.
Hours of contribution required weekly: starting at 1, but it will scale up depending on the amount of coders.
Coding (+)
Self explanatory, but there are a variety of coding positions, such as graphic implements, mathematics coders, bug fixers/finders, and more! When you apply, I'll (or maybe a manager) will look at your projects (if you have any) and see what you would be the best at.
Hours of contribution required weekly: 2-10
How active the user must be: at least half an hour a day.
How often the user must check the forum topic: 5 times a day, preferably spread out.
Topic Helper/maintainer (2)
This person helps format the topic, as well as create banners for the topic. They'll also own the announcements tab, which will help the users.
Hours of contribution required weekly: They choose, but must keep up with the rest of the people.
How active the user must be: Same as above.
How often the user must check the topic: ^

hmm, i can definitely do this but I'm a little confused, what do you mean by fonts? do you just mean making the text? or do you mean different kinds of fonts? just a little confused because I'm not sure if you mean to make the letters, or make different fonts.

hmm, i can definitely do this but I'm a little confused, what do you mean by fonts? do you just mean making the text? or do you mean different kinds of fonts? just a little confused because I'm not sure if you mean to make the letters, or make different fonts.
There will be other fonts, but you can just make a basic font (like this one)

That's fine! I understand, I'm so busy I have 5 minutes today to check in I made that a while ago, so don't think you have to finish 2 letters now, just don't fall behind. When we get more people willing to help though, I may be a bit more strict about the to-do, since some parts lead into others. All I expect to have by February is letters A-F. Have a nice break though!
