Hello, and welcome to Programming Weekly! This is a newspaper for reporting on not only Scratch news, but news in technological breakthroughs, achievements and all sorts of things along those lines!
Links to Good Programming and Technology Sites
- Codecademy This site is great for beginning programmers. It teaches programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Ruby and more!
- MIT Main Site This is MIT's main site, which gives updates about technological advances, and information about the college itself.
- The MagPi All about Raspberry Pi.
All issues will be posted on the account called ProgrammingWeekly. Follow to get notifications when the latest issue is out!
Despite the name, this newspaper will release and issue bi-weekly. Experience has shown for me that a weekly newspaper feels very rushed.
Ground Rules
First off, I'm invoking a 3 strike policy. Strikes will only be administered by the deputy (to be determined) and myself. The deputy and I will give strikes to those who break the rules that will be set below. First rule breaking, a warning. Second, a strike. Due to the circumstances, though, either of us may decide to give you a strike on the spot or immediately suspend you from the collab.
First three strikes: Collab suspension for a week.
Second three strikes: Two weeks.
Third: One month.
Fourth: You will be released from the collaboration.
Rules:
1. Be courteous at all times.
2. Get your work done on time. If you are by any means unable to complete your work (other commitments, real life things, etc.), report it to us and we will understand.
3. By no means will we have any unnecessary arguments. Remember: There's a difference between discussions and arguments. Discussions are considered apposing views being debated in a polite matter, whereas arguments are when Scratchers are fighting.
4. No spam.
5. Hassling others for any reason is not tolerated.
Everyone understand? Alright, adhere to these, and we'll be a smooth-running collab.
