A Scratch mentor club sounds like a great idea as well - sign me up

That wasn't there before! :O anyhow, when are they going to remove the dustbin and mod forums from the filter

The mod forums are still here, just they're only used by the mods. As for the dustbin, I believe that's a section of the forums dedicated to deleted topics, so it's still an active topic per say. Still, both could be removed for regular Scratchers.

And yes, scratchisthebest, this is a project by the ST. Now, what it is, who it involves, and what it'll be like? Who knows.

I meant that for non-modes those filters should not appear. Anyways, what do you think this project is and will be like? One old Scratcher helps a new one? That would be awesome! It's probably be placed in the Welcome to Scratch group on the discussion home.

I asked the ST about this, and I think that they'll be stopping by. Because of that, I'll leave it up to them to describe the program, but from my guesses, it'll have something to do with mentoring, hence the name. As for the rest, we'll see.

Yep! We're working on a new program called Scratch Mentors. It's definitely a work in progress – we'll be releasing more details about it in a future post.

You have to be handpicked by the Scratch Team and the current Scratch Mentors, and you also have to be active and helpful in the Scratch community. We only pick new Scratch Mentors when we need them, and we currently don't need them, so I don't think you'll become a Scratch Mentor so soon. Maybe in the future you will become one.
