I realised wen you change the pink navigation it changes the map mad as so I made my own thanks nad i am officially using thisin my project wen is V4 gonna be ready
Your one of the few people who ive seen be good enough to make 3d moving first person shooters also Petera100 and im also working on a game using stuff like this its a first person with so much to do and interactive environments
Thanks. The glitches are mostly caused by the multisprite system. If you look at the V2 you can see how fast the engine was before multisprite was added.
It is not even a game. It's only the incomplete engine for a game I'm planning. I hope I can release a final version of the engine in about 3-4 months.
I know. Real 3D is nearly impossible at a good speed in scratch. Most games that want to be 3D are series of pictures (not all, but most). This tries at least to render an evironment that looks as much as 3d as possible without the need of having a lot of single pictures. Arcanoz does only need pre-rendered textures that had been converted to 3D-like sprites before and even allows you to create new levels within less than 5 minutes without changing any sprite (except the map of course).
Download the 28 sprites and 148 scripts of "Arcanoz V3" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
The following demonstration contains a bit violence. The sprites used in this project are from the shooter "Doom" and are only used to demonstrate the possibilities of the engine.
Seems to be not running in Opera and Internet Explorer, use Firefox instead.
Arcanoz TechDemo V3
-------------------------
This is a new Tech-Demo for my Arcanoz Engine. It demonstrates how Arcanoz can be used for ego-shooters. The monster and gun sprites are from Doom (thanks to FalconDelta for ripping!), the wall textures are from Systemshock but converted into 3d by me.
You can use W,A,S,D,Q,E to move around and space for shooting. If there's a door in front of you, you can press F to open it. Sometimes it happens, that the light goes out. Then you have to go in darkness (can be a bit spooky). One of the biggest problem is the speed. You can press B to show current fps. But most performance is in Online-Mode.
If you want to use the code or parts of it please mention me and Arcanoz in the credits.
Good luck, and have fun!

AWESOME!
How'd you get the walls and floors?
I ripped them from an old dos game called Systemshock. Then I used GIMP to add the 3d look. That wasn't very difficult. It took only a long time ;)
(view all replies)AWESOME! LOVE IT! FAVORITE!
not 3d

(view all replies)WOW THAT IS SSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!! Luved it and a new favorite for 3-D things. Why hasn't this gotten a bunch of views? This is amazing!
It isn't real 3d, it uses sprites to look like 3d. This is what you call "pseudo 3d" or 2.5d. But thanks anyway ;)
