Hi Paddle,
I asked Jay and he told me, that it was only a Joke of somebody messing around: Someone has created a username "SampleProjectTeam" (without an "s") with the same icon as "SampleProjectsTeam" (with an "s"). Because you see Jay's comment only if you click at "show all answers" I repeat it here: The ScratchTeam will look for that person, which we don't have to take seriously.
That's exactly my opinion Paddle! Is there a chance to react to the negative comments of the Sample Team, by changing disturbing things (e.G German variable names, finding a work-around for the online-end etc.)? I would try hard if you see a chance! Where has the discussion taken place? When will 1.4 go public? Thank you very much in advance for answering soon!
We have received negative comments on the Sample Project Team project so it will not be included in the next version of Scratch. Thank you so much for your wonderful contributions to the Scratch community! Sincerely, The Scratch Team
Is there a chance to get the project in the next version, if we change the point's that got the negative comments? We could translate variable-names to English, find a wok-around to the Scratch-Player-Problem with the end-scene, reduce comlexity and so on... We would try hard and react fast to change the decision... Where did the discussion of the "SampleProjectTeam" took place? Can we read it somewhere? Including this game had been really motivating for German-Scratchers....
The most negative thing is, that the beautiful end doesn't work Online: That's a problem of the Scratch-Player that hasn't been solved for over 2 years by the Scratch-Team! If the Scratch-Player works, or if we find a "work around" it's teaching a lot. But with the Player-Error it's realy demotivating new users, specialy if they upload remixes that show the same problem.
Thank you for all your coments :-) But it´s still not working like it should on scratch homepage. you have to download it if you like to see the real end.
Congratulations! The Scratch team is considering using this project as a sample project. It may be included with the download of the next version of Scratch, version 1.2. We may make some edits to the project, for example to change the project name, project notes, or code, or add instructions on the screen. You can see our current working version in this gallery (link to gallery) Of course you will still get full credit as the creator of the project. By Tuesday, Nov 27th, please let us know if you prefer that we not include your project, for any reason, or you have any specific requests for changes to the project. You can let us know by clicking "contact us" at the bottom of the page and then filling out the form. Also, if you would like to make some changes to the project yourself, please make your changes, share the project on the site, and let us know using the contact form. Thank you so much for your wonderful contributions to the Scratch community! Sincerely, The Scratch Team
This is an excellent example of how to make a multi-background storybook. It's exactly what I was looking for to teach me how to do this smoothly. I'm never too afraid to learn from anyone - and I'm 60!! Well done.
Hi! I really like this interactive story. It's very amusing, exciting and well-thought-out!
It's a great idea to use different languages in bubbles and sounds!!
Download this project!
Download the 24 sprites and 125 scripts of "bienemaja" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
The Bee Maya: Free Flip An adventure in 5 pictures.
The grasshopper Flip is prisoned by Tekla the spider. To find the key and free him, the bee Maya has to help the ladybird to open flowers, than help the ant boss to order his ant company and at least get the key out of the spidernet.
I made this game with help of my father (programming tips) and my brother and sister (voices and sound). It was a lot of work and we think it's also a lot of fun. We used our german voices, but we made the bubblehelp in english.
We hope you like it! If you want, you can create new adventues with Maya!
P.S. the Offline-Verision of "Maya" in the SCRATCH-enviroment runs perfect, whereas the online-Version shows some problems with "hidden-sprites" that will vanish with the debugged version of the SCRATCH-Online-Environment, that will be released by the SCRATCH-Team soon.

very good job!
i dont think this game really works
you have to download it, because of the Online-Player bug
I still think this is one of the most amazing "adventure" type games on Scratch. Great job!

Excellent!
i like this interactive story. Thankyou for sharing it.
How do you play this game? Cos when i fly to the right nothing happens.
Dieses ist ein kühles Spiel! Ich mag auch die Töne!

Hi nwinton: We're happy that you like it! Perhaps your puipils can create a continuation of Majas adventure?
This is really really good! I loved it. Would you mind if I told some of the pupils at the school I teach at about this?
Hi Jott: If you download it and play it in the SCRATCH-Player it should work. The Online-Player has some problems e.g. with hidden sprites.
I meant, if you get the key before anything else..
If you get the key that deafeating everything else all the projects will be done. The grass hopper will say to open him up but he is out of the cage.
This is an exelent project!!! My favorite bit was opening the flowers!!!
We are happy that you like it. We hope to see more international projects here! Couldn't you do some with hungarian language bernatp?
