D you are awesome! Ok, so here is what I think the cell phone needs. A display to show the last 3 numbers pressed. The number 0 (optional but most phones have a 0. A send key, and and end key. To call someone punch in the 3 digit phone number. Then hit send. When you hit send the phone number is taken out of the three digits. If the number matches someone in the phone book then that person speaks. If you hit end then that stops all sound. I have a sprite that can do very small numbers and is three digits. You can extract the number with the send key like you did with your weight on the planets project. I'll give you some audio software that will make it easier to collect some really cool audio you can use. If you want I can post you a link to the software and you can load it on your computer at home. Scott
Hi D, I just saw your message about the cell phone. I would be happy to give you a few hints on how you might do that. You don't want me to give you too much information though, it's more fun to figure it out yourself. I'll work on something and leave you a pointer to the project. Scott
BTW, one of the girls in my other group liked your cell phone so much that she downloaded it and changed the colors. You can find her project here.

I hope it is ok with you that she used it. She said thanks to you in her project notes.
Hi D, I saw your comment, thanks. You might be right. The reason I made different buttons make different sounds is because that's how a real touch tone phone works. I know it's a cell phone but the why phones do signaling is they make different sounds. There is a computer at the phone company that listens for the sounds and knows what number to connect you to. I used the real sounds that the phone company uses. It's the engineer in me. Do you want to try and make the other numbers work with the real sounds? I think you can figure it out but if you need any hints just leave me another message. Scott
D, I added some code to your project. Go checkout the verzion in my account. I put some script in but didn't do the whole thing. Just gave you a good start. I uploaded all the sounds for the numbers and some other ones you might like. Check it out, I'll check back later. Scott
Hi D, Cool idea and great drawing. I'll leave you a few scripts to give you some ideas for how to make the buttons work. This project has potential to be something very cool on Scratch. Scott.

Put some project notes in so people know it's not done yet and that they should come back later to see a really cool project. Scott
