Oh, I didn't try to edit it. Would editing it mean changing some of the string in the new project "Barcode - tested" and then reimporting into this project? Even if I did I don't see how I would ever detect any difference because the barcode lines are very thin and close together... Anyway, it's fun, and it was really surprising to see what I got when I exported your sprite into a new project!!
You still misunderstand. COMPLETE DISCRIP OF EVERYTHING: 1) I wrote *abcderfg* (etc.) in a bar code fot called Free 3 of 9 Extras. 2) I uploaded it. 3) you downloaded. 4) Since you didn't have the font installed on your computer, it could not display it as a barcode when you edited the text. 5) They all lived happily ever after. The end.
No, I was seeing how things work if you make them use a font that nobody else has. Possible outcomes (mainly best to worst): •it basically means that the font is imported to the computer •the font gets changed to, like, Helvetica •it appears just in little boxes that look like National Geographic logos •the computer crashes
I exported the sprite within Scratch, then brought it into a new project. I got the entire alphabet and the digits 1 - 0 with a star on each end of the string. (The font was huge so only a-k was visible until I changed the font size to 18.) I don't see any barcode font anywhere. I'm eager to find out how this works!

I opened it and it said *abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890*, and the type font was Free 3 of 9 E... something. I don't have that font installed.
K, thanks.

Did you get it in a barcode font or a text font?
